See the performances against hull, Fulham and the second half tonight with Allen in the midfield vs the first half tonight and the game against cov without him

We did tonight but I thought he was as poor as ever against Coventry and was abysmal against Fulham.

For all those who criticise him, Joe Allan changed the game. He stemmed the tide in midfield. We got control in midfield which allowed us to play. Then once Powell came on, we started to look like we could win it.

It’s almost as if that’s what you should expect as a bare minimum from a “Premier League” midfielder.
It’s like congratulating a grown adult for negotiating through a day without shitting themselves.

Definitely not a fan of his, but tonight he played well, he was marginally better than Vrancic and Thompson.
Let's not pretend that it was him who made the big impact today though, that was Powell followed by MOTM Brown. Baker was better in midfield and he had an off day in comparison to other games, but hardly put a foot wrong.

He played well 2nd half against Fulham. (I know exactly what your retort will be by the way) I can’t agree. We didn’t have a midfield against Fulham. We had a two man one second half. Allen and Baker. Clucas was anonymous all game and our whole midfield were completely outclassed in the first half, not just Allen.

We didn’t have a midfield against Fulham for a start. Bayern, simple question: Did you watch our game against Coventry? Yes or no will do mate

He's a championship midfielder mate. Pretty sure you're already aware of that. Nice anecdote though 👌

He didn't look anything special against Coventry.. bringing him on made no real difference to what was a turgid performance. That said he's ok at this level in my opinion..no more no less. If he's on the wages that are purported to be the case then that is definitely ridiculous.. however he certainly cannot be blamed for getting handsomely paid that's for sure. Other teams seem to be managing without him

Powell changed the game for me, He really is different class. Allen was decent but so was Thompson in the first half imo. Especially in the passing out from the back Thompson was constantly moving looking for the ball, Then a quick pass & move. Allen doesn’t do that…

Made a difference tonight. Still a bit sloppy at times but he just made it a bit more scrappy in the middle and it totally threw them off their game. They’d been able to take 2 or 3 touches in the first half and he stopped this tonight. Good one Joe.
