Is it 4 in his last 8/9 games now? pretty good return . Room for improvement in areas of course but amongst the goals at least Like I said before If he was as clinical as people wish he certainly wouldn't be at Stoke. He's young and can Still improve too.

Watching him in the flesh for the first time yesterday I realised he is very poor on his left foot. Almost all the times he lost control were down to that.
Good game on the whole though. Well done Jacob.

Thought he was excellent today in the first half and rightly MOM. Second half was a bit more like the Brown we’ve seen on the telly but no one played well second half really. Ran the channels, nice passing and a goal. Not gonna lie thought he had placed his goal perfectly until I saw the replay but they all count. Get to Asda for ingredients for humble pie 😂

Can’t be, he is apparently shit and offers nothing, you must be thinking of another Jacob Brown 😉

No one gonna mention him Shushing the crowd 👀👀 Just saw that. It was towards the away fans wasn’t it? That’s what the tweet says anyway. So he’s either a bit of a coward or was shushing them.

Get to Asda for ingredients for humble pie 😂 After a good half? Yes. Just get the ingredients in, then in a couple weeks get it made. You’ve slagged the lad off relentlessly on here and saying he had a good half, or was it MoTM performance, doesn’t really make amends for that. Good half or motm?? 🤔

And in that post that you clearly need to read, I’ve said I thought no one played well in the second half. Indeed I thought we were wank in the second half.

Having openly slated him though he was very decent today- the way he took the goal was Campbell esque. The effort has always been there- hopefully we’re starting to see his use of the ball and finishing improve.

It’s hard enough reading the shit you post once, I don’t want to inflict that on myself twice. You should take this experience as a lesson that you don’t know nearly as much as you’d like everyone to think, saying something 100,000 times, which by the way says a lot, doesn’t make it right. Smith with two assists and the two players you’d written off won us the game yesterday. Try to learn something from that, it will stand you in good stead for your next 100,000 posts.

If Fletcher stays fit and when Campbell is back, it's hard to see where Brown will fit in, in the starting 11 anyway, could he become our super sub? Lol.

I think Fletcher staying fit is unlikely so I think he’ll figure in most games, at least until Campbell is back fit and firing, which could be a while off still

Just makes you look thick.

Won’t lie reminded me of a bit of a SJW performance yesterday long May it continue Saw pictures of him in pre-season, he looks hench, bit like SJW, I remember him being regarded as one of the hardest bastards at the club, not sure Brown is quite that standard but it would be nice to have some fighters back in the side.

Best l've seen him play. Encouraging. He'll get better too, l'm sure. Complements Fletch well too. (Fletch was outstanding, l thought).

he's unlikely to ever become technical, but if he can use his pace and power, with more pitch know how he'll become excellent. Not a fan at all. He is not rapid at all. There defence dealt with him easily I thought and very lucky goal. Fletcher was miles ahead of him in awareness and ability. He’s a squad player for me nothing else. Hurry up Delap! Their defence didn't handle him very well when he scored. Nor when the guy had to resort to blatantly hauling him back, which led to the first goal. Those weren't the only times they struggled with him either, although their defence was poor generally. Honestly, I don't know what some people want or expect. If that was an opposition player, I somehow don't think people on here would be praising our defence for the way they coped with him. As for his goal being lucky, sure, it got deflected but he hit it well enough and on target and this time he got lucky. I'm sure there'll be other times when he's equally unlucky, that's just the way it goes. Funnily enough, I haven't seen similar comments about Sam Surridge's deflected goal.

Jacob is developing nicely and is going to torment a lot of defences this season with his boundless energy. He shows all the signs of becoming another Walters.
He will be an excellent foil for other forwards creating space for them.
If he can continue to develop his ball skills he could become a huge asset; he won't be 24 till the end of the season.

MON has said before he wants a 4-3-3 So it looks like the long term plan would be to have Campbell and Brown either side of Surridge. Step by step though.

Stranger things have happened. As long as he carries on in the same vein then he’s alright by me. We’ve had/got bigger issues than Brown. Also with the much needed exodus having occurred we will need some squad depth, which Brown may be seen as.

Depends what you mean by 'a footballer'. At 23 Jon Walters had just been released by Wrexham. According to my Wrexham supporting mate. he was pretty shit. He learned to play to his strengths and had a good few years in the premier league.

No saying Brown can’t take a similar path despite the fact that it would require a vast improvement in his ball skills for him to be even an average footballer IMO.

Let’s just say I don’t think watching him would ever convince me to pay to watch him or players of his ability play the game. Can you imagine watching a team with ten outfield players of his ability? I’m not even sure his ball skills are better than Danny Batth and that’s a very low bar.
