I can't help it. I have developed an unhealthy resentment towards the title winning, self-styled "Kings of the Midlands" It just don't seem fair that their recruitment of players has been so incredibly good whilst ours has been so incredibly bad. If they win the F.A. Cup today I fear my resentment may tip over into something resembling hatred.

Good on them.
Absolutely nothing is there to as that why that couldn’t have been us either. Which is why the little old Stoke attitude fucks me off.

Yes, it’s a tough one.
You have to admire the vision they have had and the implementation of it, especially when you consider the direction both teams went in our promotion season.
I don’t resent them. I just have a lot of envy to be honest because there is no reason it couldn’t have been us given the right circumstances.

I really like them and want to see them win most games. Can only be a positive for the game and other clubs like us.

The difference between a well run, forward thinking, professional and ambitious club and us where complacency rules and everything feels so amateurish.

Indeed but ironically all turned around for them when their managers son shagged a prostitute and filmed it 😂

I have far greater resentment towards these Big 6 self-entitled clubs tbh
Its simply bad for the game if they win everything year after year, so I'm all behind Leicester.
If teams like Leicester can compete at least that surely gives us some shreds of hope to hang on to for any future success, or something similar. All fans need hope, however slim.
If teams like Leicester were not able to compete then what would be the point?

The year they won the league, we should have been pushing for a top four spot. That whole season fell apart when Shawcross, at that time the most in-form centre back in the country, injured his back away at Leicester and we went on to lose three games in a row 3-0. In fact, that moment turned out to be the turning point in Hughes' reign and the beginning of the decline.
They've got nothing that we hadn't got then in terms of wealth and size of club. They simply made wiser purchases and wiser appointments. I'm bitterly envious but good luck to them. Better a club like us than one of the Manchester clubs, Chelsea etc. They show that you can break the glass ceiling without being complete sell outs like Man City.

Good on them. Absolutely nothing is there to as that why that couldn’t have been us either. Which is why the little old Stoke attitude fucks me off. Absolutely correct. They have people with vision running their club who aren’t afraid to dream whereas as ours is more a case of “ just be grateful it doesn’t rain everyday”. Although their title winning season was extraordinary, it could be argued that not far behind as an achievement is their consistency moving forward as a club especially when you consider what happened with the owner and the helicopter crash. It would have been so easy to lose focus and impetus, but they seemed to come back even stronger. I have nothing but respect for them and it shows the difference between professionals running a club and amateurs.

Foreign ownership. We don't want that here do we lads? Not when we have 'Arkwright & Son' in charge.

Doesn't seem that long ago when they went into administration and left thousand of people unpaid, how things have changed under forward thinking professional ownership and overall management.

Tell all the people they fucked over when they went into administration that they are a well run club. They built a ground they couldn't afford and administration made is possible.

I get the administration resentment issue, but could we describe these clubs who win trophies year after year as shining lights of good practice?

Not liked them since they beat us in the playoffs to be honest but I hope they beat Chelsea today. Shove your fucking super league up your arse.

Good on them. Absolutely nothing is there to as that why that couldn’t have been us either. Which is why the little old Stoke attitude fucks me off. I alway feel like the main difference between us and them is the recruitment and they were more forward thinking and believed they could be more than they were

I do not dislike Leicester i just envy them they are everything we could have been. The difference being ambitious forward thinking owners who got recruitment of both players & managers spot on they also took a giant of a defender off us who became a rock in there premier winning team.

But he was injured when he was here strange how he hardly missed a game for one and a half seasons including Champions League football after he moved

I'm quite happy for them, intact I'm off to watch the game shortly with my best mate who is a Leicester fan, we watch both Stoke ans Leicester games together, and to be quite honest they do play a really nice style of football. Take that chip off your shoulder, its unhealthy.

My memory goes back to the day we secured promotion to the Premier League. A 0-0 draw at home to Leicester ensured that we were promoted and Leicester avoided relegation. Interesting contrast in the journeys of the two clubs since then. We have been in decline since the 6-1 thrashing of Liverpool (an departure of Nzonzi). Leicester have broken into the top ranks of the Premier League. Lessons to be learned?

Got nothing against Leicester. Hopefully they win it this afternoon.
Rather them than some big club with a glory hunting fanbase.
