Usually cover songs murder the original. A few exceptions. This is one of my favourites.

Just for balance , and not to piss off the Zep fans, of which I am one, The Annual Kenedy Space Centre inauguration into the hall of fame saw Heart do a cover of Stairway to Heavan. The emotion on Jimmy and Robert's faces is incredible, esp when JB's son does the drumming in the iconic bowler hat.
Enjoy.

Angel of the Morning is a perennial classic that has been covered by around 15 artists, including Olivia Newton John and the Pretenders.

There is no original of Whiskey in the Jar. An old irish trad song with unknown writer. Been recorded dozens of times

The original by Bob Dylan. Hendrix version has to be one of the greatest intros ever.

Joe Cocker's version of 'With a little help from my friends' has to be up there. Pisses all over The Beatles original (and other covers) and takes the song in a different direction

Usually cover songs murder the original. A few exceptions. This is one of my favourites. Disturbed have done a few covers including Genesis Land of Confusion, Tears for Fears Shout & recent Sting’s If I could Lose myself. I saw them perform Sound of Silence at Manchester Apollo, it was an amazing performance.

Ffs, it’s not rocket science.
