The song "Hush" originally written by Joe South was covered several times - famously by Deep Purple. But my favorite version of it has to be the one done by Kula Shaker.

ABBA or Daniel O’Donnell?
I love both versions.

Paul Simon later noted that Presley’s rendition of his song was a “touch on the dramatic side.” “But so was the song,” he added. “When I first heard Elvis perform ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ it was unbelievable. I thought to myself, ‘How the hell can I compete with that?'”

There was an Irish man whose son died, He wanted Danny Boy at the funeral. Having researched all the versions, he decided this was the best.

I like all the covers by the Clash - too numerous to mention here. In most cases, imho better than the originals, especially Police & Thieves and Brand New Cadillac.

Hate to say it about this classic, but there is something so refreshing about this version.

Alex Harvey Band"s version of Delilah far superior to Tom Jones effort Yes totally agree there. It’s a shame that the club haven’t embraced it in some way, as it shares an irreverence that may be closer to the Stoke fans version than the TJ original.

Was also thinking about those two before plumping for Armagideon Time. I would have gone for Police and Thieves which is the best Clash cover of all IMO, but I’d say that is equal not better than Junior Murvin’s original which is an awesome tune. One other Clash cover that deserves particular mention... Pressure Drop.

I take it you mean The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts? Ffs, it’s not rocket science. Thanks for correcting me, I genuinely always thought it was the Space Centre. Was looking forward to Whitney being honoured there..." Houston...We have a ( drug ) problem. I met Jimmy Page at a bus station in Asia. He got emotional when I gave him a can of beer as was hotter that day than a Mcd's apple pie. For the record I prefer the Muppets version of Bohemian Rhapsody

Not saying is better but a very tidy version of Johnny Too Bad by Taj Mahal. you may remember him from such films as 'Bill and Ted's excellent adventure'

I thought to myself, ‘How the hell can I compete with that" In a similar vein it is said that when Carol King first heard Dusty Springfield singing "Goin'Back" (which King wrote and recorded) it made her cry (in a good way).

Somewhat adapted, but way better than the original... My brother used to play Fat Bastard on repeat in the late 80s on full volume. The neighbours weren’t amused. Great raw tune though😀
