Had a worse record at Derby than Gary Rowett.

Strange timing after winning in the cup but suppose these days sackings happen a week or two after the decision has been made when the new boss is lined up.

Wonder if he'll get another Prem job?

Surprised at that.
Thought Roman might have given him some more time.

Tuchel seems to be rumoured.
They should have got Pochettino when he was just sitting there.

Wonder if he'll get another Prem job? Celtic? It’s worked wonders for Gerrard and a huge club

Might knock that massive chip off his shoulder. Never seen a young manager whose achieved nothing yet as a manager appear so arrogant as lampard has this season

Made the jump to early I think. Could have done with more time at Derby or a lower Prem club.

Wonder if he'll get another Prem job? I think he'll do well at a club with a patient owner and lower expectations. Chelsea expect instant success and just throw money at the problem. Lampard was doing well bringing on a young side and chucking the cash has just sent them backwards. I'm not sure he's got the experience as yet to win the Premier League but at another club that allowed him time I think he could nick a Europa League place or do well in a cup competition and I certainly wouldn't back him not to turn up at West Ham at some point.

What? Fat Frank facing the axe. The poor love must be losing loads of weight with the pressure and the worry. And only a multi milllion pound pay off and a job at another deluded attention seeking club to look forward to.

He will be ok i think there will be offers from a couple of clubs the Chelsea job was to early he should have stayed at Derby another season. If things went pear shaped here i would take him.

I like Lampard, but this was always going to expected.
The job came way too soon in his early career as a manager.

Newcastle Utd possible destination for him perhaps if Bruce gets the sack as it looks like he's heading towards? Mike Ashley & Lampard may have the necessary London links. Big name for him to announce & may please the fans, for a short time anyway.

Absolutely crazy decision if true Is it really though? He's already into 'publicly throw the players under the bus' mode. They don't seem to have any recognisable style of play under him. He's spent £200m and the team has got worse. He may well go on to be a fine manager and this might be the making of him, but they're starting to get nervous about their top four place and that's the cold, hard reality that has cost him his job.

The media has been falling over themselves to talk him up because he's English and because of his reputation as a player. He was wildly overpromoted into the job and at the first sign of trouble he's thrown his players under the bus. How often does that work out well for a manager?

I thought he did a very good job at Derby so how he was over promoted I’m not so sure🤔 As for throwing his players under the bus I’ve not read that but sometimes home truths don’t go down to well with the generation of players/ folk today and for me is a reflection of society also. Very very harsh decision for me but let’s see what happens with the Kraut before judgement is made

He had a free hit last season cos of the transfer embargo. Low expectations, but he used the youth to good effect. Once the embargo was over and the cheque book was opened he didnt have that luxury of a safety net.

They've generally always gone the old tried and trusted route & that's never brought them any success. Perhaps they'd be happy to give a young fresh manager whose well connected in. They'd probably be cockahoop if Keegan was wheeled out for a 3rd management coming for all the good that would do em, they really are that fickle up there

Got the job purely because he’s an ex player. There’s no way on God’s green earth they would appoint any other manager who had just 1 decent seasons experience in the Championship behind them.
