I keep seeing people use injuries as an excuse for the negativity the manager is showing.
Of the outfielders bar Fox and Campbell he’s used the others that would make his best XI.
And with the goalies Bursik is imo better than Davies in this form so the difference isn’t there.
I think his best side would be:
Davies
Collins Souttar Chester Fox
Mikel Allen Clucas
Campbell Fletcher Powell
So he’s got absolutely no excuses for the negativity again. He chooses it. This performance at home for me isn’t acceptable. We started with the aim of a draw again and that is just poor at home.

You say Injuries are not an excuse yet you've named 3 players plus Fletcher who went off tonight who are injured.

Last 10 games have not been good enough for play offs, I predicted somewhere in the 8-12th place bracket at the start of the season and I think that's where we will end up I think its 5 goals in last 10 games now? Absolutely awful that is Brown not good enough, vokes not good enough, McLean not good enough. Bang average championship players If we are serious about going up we need a big January with at least 1 winger and a striker who can stay fit and score goals

He’s received plenty of praise for how he’s turned the club around since his arrival, and rightly so.
At the moment though I can’t imagine there are too managers out there that would get less out of this side. He’s well and truly applied the handbrake and it’s resulting in some of the most turgid shite we’ve seen since the binary season.
Let’s hope we sign a couple of quality attacking players because the manager hasn’t got a clue how to coach a side to attack.

His replacement was nowhere near good enough though and it was downhill from then as an attacking threat. Certain players not able to pass to team mates doesnt help either.

Eerrrrrrr.......,
Negativity, excuses?.......
Perhaps maybe a manager making do with a ramshackle lot that he’s got left over to try and do a job?
We did just didn’t get thumped by a team that is still mid/level prem level and has been scoring for fun!
The team you’ve outlined looks great, but a few of those are injured so not sure why it’s in your post?
....I’m sure your main issue as to not getting anything this eve was because we MoNs a dick and didn’t play Verlinden as always 🥱 😴

It’s true, we are 4 or 5 players short of top 2 in this division Tonight was always going to be 0-0, or 0-1 Would have put my house on it. We are decent striker away from top 6, but we have improved on last season, and we have to be happy with that

Nope. No excuses. Our performance at home post lockdown last season were good.
However We’ve been poor at home before Campbell was injured this season. Our problem is we just can’t create anything at all. Our only creative option isn’t being used ( verlinden).
We’re not being helped by poor form of McClean too he has been appalling lately. Brown too has had enough chances.. he really really is appalling.
We are in desperate need of new blood but where’s the value in Jan? Loans the best option or a small fee for someone out of contract in the summer. But the proven championship firepower or creativity isn’t going to be available in jan.
We might get lucky. If we don’t we’re not going anywhere mid table beckons.

Injuries have hindered the team but a few players have stepped up.
It is just we do not have real like for like replacements (for our creative/goal getters) thus system changes which certainly kill any chance of scoring many goals. A few players are disappointing and their quality in passes and vision is killing any creativity.
The top 5 have guaranteed promotion/play off places and now 1 place for about 10 teams to battle for. My pre season prediction of finishing 8th - 14th i will stick by.

He can't do anything more with the players he's got. He's had no luck with injuries. I'll be angry if we don't bring in a couple of new faces but definitely won't criticize the manager who's doing a great job

Sky commentator said he's sure O'Neill will have already made phone calls. I hope he's right and that we have a striker in for the Leicester game. With Campbell injured, Fletcher more crocked than fit and Brown not effective, it's little wonder we are not scoring. And as for Vokes - he is not, never has been and never can be the answer - he's not even the question. But who can we actually get? That's the real problem.

We are decent striker away from top 6, but we have improved on last season, and we have to be happy with that Bar perhaps Reading in the top 6 the squads of the teams above us are far superior. Put Toney, or Sarr, or Ayew, or Josh King, or Pukki in our team and the difference is immense. We are a work in progress and I think we’re a handful of points better off than I expected at this point. A few less injuries and we might have been even better off, but we are where we are and need to bring in a couple urgently to energise the squad......

Look since getting relegated we have wasted pretty much all the transfer windows We are basically only now starting to put right the disastrous problems we were faced with from the Prem We have been without Campbell and basically Fletcher now for some weeks Tonight we were really negative We had more possession, more attempts at goal, more on target and more touches in the opponent’s box than Bournemouth I’ll say the obvious,we are just missing a goal scorer at the moment Getting some experienced players back showed us to be a better team than we have been over the last few weeks when they have been out

Massive test for MON this January window & the remainder of the season, can he fashion not only a 9 men behind the ball defensive outfit but does he have the ability to fashion the attacking unit to go with it? Without the maverick talent he inherited in Campbell?
