Simon Stainrod...absolutely no way OK he clearly didn't give a monkeys (not the only one in mid to late period Mills) but he still had his moments: fantastic scissor kick in the rain at Walsall, winner at Blues, equaliser at Oldham, we have easily had 10 worse strikers than him including one of the current ones (Gregory)

Haugaard is the worst goal keeper I’ve seen in football at any standard never mind at Stoke.

Just take a hybrid of the squad around 1990 and again in 1998. With perhaps half a dozen exceptions, they were the worst teams we have ever had.

Junior Ernie Tapei Tosh McKinlay Ben Petty Simon Stainrod When Cranny retired, part of his testimonial was a golf day at Newcastle. We were originally paired with the Fat Controller, but told em to cancel our entry if that was the case, we ended up with Ben Petty...As wank at golf as he was at footy. Interesting Ben Petty fact.... He featured on A Question of Sport What Happened Next... It was Stoke v Man City, he was warming up as a sub by the tunnel. We had a corner on the other side, and as the ball came in he, missing everyone, he went onto the pitch to play it back in before it went out , he claims he saw the ball swing out behind the touch line before it got to him, and that he was just saving time by passing it back to their goalie for a goal kick so he was not interfering with play.... The ref saw it differently and he got a Red Card for his troubles even though he was still an unused sub...

There's no chance of only being able to name an XI. So I won't bother.
We have had more than our fair share of utterly shite footballers.

Not the correct thread but can anyone remember Chris Short who literally nearly died about 3 games in to his Stoke career. Did we not bother with medicals in them days ??

I would like to see Pericard in the team, I’m not sure we had a Premier a League player that I think would have struggled to get into our Division 2 side as much as he would. Jason Kavanagh is one that sticks out in our lower league time as struggling.
