Blimey. Sounds like had us SW Stokies gone straight to the station rather than to a pub first we’d have been bundled on a train to Stoke! BM

BM We managed to get through outside the stadium when the blockade broke to get back to the car in town centre only to be met by Luton’s finest hoolies on the main road mate so we were in no mans land Stoke gave as good as they’d got as they had too tbh as there was no police on that road for a minute or two I was threatened with arrest but thankfully he saw sense and just pulled me away at which point we headed in the direction of the car Not sure how it all ended up that way as the whole day had been fine up until 4:55pm

I’ve got to ask, cause it glaring & nobody has mentioned it. Was there any racial stuff being thrown about... I went Luton in 84 & it was bad enough then so Heaven only knows what it’s like these days...

I didn't hear any only real bit of trouble I saw was at Luton station when a Luton fan turned up and I was told that a Stoke fan had said you were lucky today and he kicked off, storm in a teacup but if we'd of been let on the trains earlier it wouldn't of happened anyway.

Purely from the stream but those boxes were quite reminiscent of some hotel on Blackpool seafront, looked weird to me.

Where do you start?? What on earth was all of that about. The Police decided in their typical fucktardery to hold the Stoke fans back at the end of Oak Road. After about 15-20 minutes folks were getting cold and anxious about missing their trains - many were on fixed return tickets - the Police simply stood firm until the crowd they were holding back numbered a few hundred. Enough was enough and the Stokies surged forward and broke the Police lines, it kicked off a bit but Plod were absolutely hopeless, helpless and useless and of course 100% responsible for causing this. Someone at the main Control must have pressed the red button as walking back to our car I've never seen so many blue lights, and riot vans - the overtime must have been incredible.... What happened to the fans heading back to the railway station I don't know but all I can say I've not been treated like this for many a long year... Absolutely correct, I also have not seen anything like this for many a year! It was all down to Plod (Not the guys forming the barrier, they just didn't have a clue) The guy who seemed to be in charge was the guy with the grey beard, I think his number was 221. If he wasn't making the decisions, he should certainly have "fed back" It was all so unnecessary. People became agitated the longer it went on but it wasn't until about half a dozen brave Luton souls started giving it large from the end of the street. That triggered the pushing until the line broke. As we went around the corner Plod tried again to form a barrier but now with baton's raised (some of them looked terrified!) This barrier was quite amusing as people were pouring along the pavement whilst the constabulary were stopping people passing on the road. They then tried to force everyone to go to the station, My son said that we were trying to get to our car and had no intention of going to the station, the guy just could not comprehend this and again said that we were going to the station, along with several others we just walked past him. As the poster above states, whilst all of this is going on there are sirens going off in every direction. Just so unnecessary, The match commander should be disciplined for his actions!

Two sides to this sorry story. We had a crew out on Saturday with a lot of older faces. When we scored younger and older blokes standing in the concourse piled down to the front with some gaining access to pitch side and damaging the electronic advertising boards. In their glee they knocked over a woman in her 60s stood next me, and a bloke stood behind was projected through a seat and hit me full force. I am not a small bloke and this fella was my size, he ended up on the floor beneath me on the second row. My legs buckled but I couldn’t use my hands as I had hold of my 8 year old son and I was prevented from falling to the next row by my knees jamming on the plastic seats in front - but they were bent over the wrong way with the tendons in my ankles taking part of the hit as I stretched out on my toes by instinct
The result of that is ,today I can’t walk easily or see my left knee cap. My lad is fine...however ...we travel home and away and I’ve seen proper riots in my time and like to think I have my wits about me. I’m disturbed/upset as I didn’t see it coming, I wasn’t in control , and Couldn’t look after my kids who instinctively trust me
i knew after seeing that it was going to kick off outside as sure as my ar*e points to the ground
ANOTHER POINT- how does that ground get a safety certificate

Funnily enough I did ask one police woman why they hadn't arrested them (when she said a group of Stoke fans had caused some trouble) when they knew who they were and had all this intel on them she said "they ran away"

Could it because Birmingham were playing at QPR, also Preston were at Fulham; with their fans using Euston as well? Not unusual for several sets of fans to be travelling home via Euston early Saturday evening so pathetic “excuse”
