Doesn't take away from the fact that only CCV and Gregory, from Jones's summer signings' started today Also McClean dropped = better defensive display and 3 points. How can he be giving it the big talk when the players and decisions he's been making/playing for the previous 10 games have just been proven to be shite BUT has the penny finally dropped? If so more wins for Stoke City? If he returns to type he can F—k off!!! 😊 I hope the penny has dropped but I have a horrible feeling we could see McClean again in the next few games

I would give him another game, despite everything. If he wins the next one he's going to go on a run and turn this completely around What happens if we've got a manager lined up though, do we tell him to fuck off because of one win. It's the Hughes situation all over again and some people just don't learn. That win at Watford was a fairly lame one .today was completely different. Right now is the wrong time to be dishing out grief.

I’ve been critical of Jones media comments, he’s not just inconsistent and contradictory he’s duplicitous and self serving
Emotion and passion are great to see but they need to be grounded in logic.
Jones shifts the narrative every time to suit his agenda.
Got to go for me but it should have been done weeks ago.

Put yourself in his shoes for a minute. He has taken tremendous stick, and rightly so on many occasions. He is human so wouldn’t you want to give a bit back? Honestly? It doesn’t change the league, but did you really expect a different attitude? Taken tremendous stick? He has not been booed at matches or anything. The support for him has been unbelievable in the circumstances. At any other club he would have been unemployed weeks ago. Are you kidding? He’s been given loads on here and some at the ground, inside and outside.

And outside the papers have reported factually. He is one our worse ever managers. His record is horrendous. In the circumstances the support he has had is remarkable. Rowett, although he was a prick, had it a million times worse with a much better record.

But this will fuel his desire to turn this ship around. Lets keep the hope that this is a defining moment and better things are on the horizon.

The team and manger deserve full credit today. It may be normal service next week, who knows. We may have turned a huge corner.

“First time I’ve been able to pick my first 11” - I’m delighted with the win but fuck off Nath, Jesus Christ! Is that what he said ? So Federici and Campbell were always in his 1st 11 were they..... an no McClean who he spent all summer converting into a left back. See, it's coming out with shit like that that makes him come across as a loon I take back what I said.I hadn't heard the interview, I was responding to 2nd hand information. Now I've heard the interview I was mislead. What he actually said was this was the 1st time he had the whole squad available apart from Ryan. Now you might debate that but he's not far off the mark. He couldn't pick Ndiaye or Bruno early on, Powell has been injured,Allen suspended etc etc. It was a very bullish and excited interview but that's the kind of guy he is and by the sound of it he's going nowhere anytime soon

It takes a decent personality to reconsider something and admit a mistake. Lets just hope we go on a bit of a run now and give this team an identity. Certainly sounds like the dressing room is in better shape than any of us thought.

I must ask, are we really discussing the interview that now is up at the SCFC official website? Sometimes there are not just one, but a couple of interviews. I just saw it. It surely can't be that one?! Fantastic answers and explanations! I wouldn't have changed a word of what he said there. Good Evening! ⚽ No, the one with Nigel Johnson where he slags off the media and just about everyone who has criticised him and which tells everyone how good he is. Ok. It must be somewhere else then.

I rarely take to the keyboard and post opinions, but today actions speak louder than words WELL DONE NATHAN JONES,i spent nearly twenty years in the military diving and bomb disposal, and in my humble opinion OUR manager is a leader and a man who is proud of our club and very honest which today are rare qualities!!!. I for one (If i was good enough)would have been proud to play for Stoke City under Nathan Jones! BZ the Coates family.

You can drop the as are, and just start with You are. BM You are you? Forgive me Para I’m a few pints down celebrating our win today. Of course I was trying to be clever when I should have just said that there’s only one arsehole out of Jones and Hackett and it’s not Jones. Jones record is abysmal but he is still a decent human being. BM

Fuck me to the people who are criticising this.
He’s been honest previously and admitted his faults and the gone on the attack when he’s won. Nothing wrong with this at all
Where we go from this is anyone’s guess!

THAT was my very own Stoke City, and I'm proud of them all.
Same again Nath, same again son !!!!!!

Only a heartless bastard would take that interview away from him. In his own words, he's turned his family upside down to come here and chance his arm at a big job. This week he wouldn't have been able to turn the phone, computer, TV or radio on without someone sacking him and replacing him. Even the pre match press conference was full of people expressing their surprise at him still being here. None of us have been in that situation and none of us will either. He's been under intense pressure and that was him letting off steam. Some say be professional and ride it out. Way easier said than done when you've just spent a week getting sacked ten times over. Exactly this! Well said 👏

Nobody does analysis quite like The Oatcake MBoard.
Manager hanging on by his fingernails brings bottom of table team to top of table and wins.
Goes a bit batshit (a bit more batshit)
Non story.
PS If I was Nathan Jones I’d have been starkers, swigging from a bottle of Beaujolais and singing ‘We are the Champions’.
