Have the board had enough of running the club now? Has Denise threatened to pull the plug and now they're trying o find away to piss all the fans off so they've got a valid excuse for binning the club off?
No, probably not. New levels of incompetence being reached here though.

What a cowardice bunch of people we have running OUR club. Ruining our club would be a better description we might as well have a traffic cone as manager than Jones, at least the traffic cone will not be spouting deluded bullshit and most likely has more tactical knowledge than the chancer we still have in place.

The worst part of the presser for me was when asked about Adam Davies , he actually swerved the direct question and said it wouldn't of mattered if the kit man was in goal against Huddersfield
He'd make a good politician

I'm still in utter disbelief.
I mean, the nerve of the board.....

All the thing about we have very loyal board and to them it looks good giving managers time used to seem a good way of doing things and gain respect and admiration. Managers turning us down over the last season or so now makes it a pointless and poor way of going about it. Those board members are specialists in blind loyalty. They obviously dont see what everyone else does or its the fact that they choose not to so they dont have to spend anymore money. Specialists in loyalty, for sure. Blind, no. They don't see what others see, that's why they're not fans like you and me, but own a club and run it. Not without problems, but they've been doing it on and off for more than 20 years. They have a way of doing things that they probably don't do in the other 91 clubs. That's what a lot of Stoke supporters are "blind" to and don't appreciate enough or at all.

My reading of that press conference is that he's staying, there have been no immediate plans for him to get his P45. The ITK stuff about goodbyes and all that has simply proved what we knew already with regards ITK stuff, it's the usual bullshitting click bait. The press conference explains the lack of comment from the club yesterday. There was nothing to say, NJ is the Stoke manager, end of. It's accepted that there's a very fine line between brave decisions and stupid decisions, I think, looking at how long NJ's tenure as Stoke manager continues, we're about to find out just how fine that line is. Literally put several ITKs in the shit bin in fairness

Did anybody pick him up on the discipline thing when he mentioned Vokes and Hogan being dealt with in-house?

He's off his rocker. The only reason he is still here is because Hughton has turned us down. Once again we cant find anyone of any quality to take over.

Can someone please tell me (I'm trawling through loads posts and threads in my break at work)
Have the club made any statement about the managerial situation. If so where can I find it???
Assuming they would have had to, either through website (cant see anything) press????
I can't bear the idea of listening to NJ's pathetic propaganda any longer!

and therein it lies...a good relationship with John especially! Oh Gawd 'elp us! Well, let's get used to it. Nath IS staying. There's nobody else. Tone wouldn't be allowed to come back even if he wanted to and Pete on his lonesome wished it to be. We're stuffed BUT as we've said, Nath does have a proven track record in League one so I fully expect an immediate bounce back to the Championship and nothing less would suffice. To use this year's 'Love Island' ( ) tag line, it is what it is.

So what happens if we don't find anyone we want? Can it really be the case that after the Lambert fiasco, Nathan Jones' name features somewhere on their list of managerial preferences to take us forward?

It is ridiculous to suggest there is no-one else. Especially when no-one can be worse. They haven't sorted this out and have now ended up in a complete mess. It's shambolic and there is NO excuse for it.

I just get the impression the management don’t want to pay off another manager so they’re blindingly hoping he turns it around.

What a cowardice bunch of people we have running OUR club. Its so hard to imagine that they actually run such a dynamic, successful and ruthless business! They don't seem to be able to apply any of the same strategies to the football club.

But this is my question. Is it feasible that they think the "least worst option" would be sticking with NJ? With what happened after we sacked LMH in mind - ending up with Lambert as our fourth or fifth choice - that they'll go and try to get mangers A, B, C and D and if they all say no the best thing to do would be keeping Jones? It sounds absolutely batshit barmy but I just can't say I'd rule it out.

Is there any issue with duty of care here? The guy is mentally unstable and suffering from a delusional disorder. His seriously is. His employer's should not be putting him out in front of the media. It's negligent.
