How do i do that ? i don't know why he is still here only reason i suppose is he is still under contract until the family say so, perhaps he might stay has a No 2 i dont know but he was definitely told Tuesday and he did say his goodbyes I wouldn't say your a liar mate. I think Jones genuinely thought the game was up, we all saw that with our own eyes from the way he went around the pitch at the end. Again, in the interview after he obviously hadn't spoken with the board and thought the same. He may of genuinely said his goodbyes as he was under the impression he was gone, just like the rest of us, people have witnessed this and told other people. He has then spoken with the board and they have told him they are still behind him. Maybe he is as shocked as anyone. You just might be spot on there but i was told he was told it was over after the match and he definitely said his goodbyes,no idea why the board would do what they are doing now its totally unfair on him .

That's the only thing I can't see any truth in, perhaps the part about him actually being told by the board has been made up or assumed but the rest is true.

You have to wonder if they’re trying to get him to resign to save a few (hundred thousand) quid ?

New depths of bewildering incompetence on the watch of a chief executive who is finding previously industry wide unexplored depths of abhorrent job performance

I am disgusted with our owners at the moment. Absolutely dumbfounded that,
1. They seemingly and actively are allowing this charade to continue. 2. They are seemingly and actively are ignoring and treating the fans with disdain. 3. They are seemingly and actively treating Jones shockingly- whilst I may not want him as manager, he’s still a human being ( a well paid one) but they have a duty of care. 4. They are seemingly and actively sending a message to the players that this club is rudderless and lacks leadership. 5. They are seemingly and actively giving the press more negative ammunition to use against our club.
From those wonderous years in the Premier league to this... in such a short space of time.
They should be ashamed of themselves.

They have no-one to take his place. As long as Scholes is there, no-one with any sort of credibility will agree to come. The problem is not firing Jones, it’s getting rid of Scholes. For some reason, they aren’t able to do that.

My reading of that press conference is that he's staying, there have been no immediate plans for him to get his P45.
The ITK stuff about goodbyes and all that has simply proved what we knew already with regards ITK stuff, it's the usual bullshitting click bait.
The press conference explains the lack of comment from the club yesterday. There was nothing to say, NJ is the Stoke manager, end of.
It's accepted that there's a very fine line between brave decisions and stupid decisions, I think, looking at how long NJ's tenure as Stoke manager continues, we're about to find out just how fine that line is.

Mate they were chanting NJ barmy army at Brentford after our remarkable clean sheet To be fair, that was a very, very, good performance. What against a team that was 18th placed, won 1 game at home and are the lowest scorers in the league? Yeah magnificent result, puts the Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd and multiple Arsenal wins to shame. Let’s be honest it was as wank as anything else this season, we parked up against a team who can’t score.

To all you people who keep insisting on backing Jones you should be ashamed of yourself. All this bullshit about he is a nice guy and deserves another chance,he is way way out of his depth and I think what happened at Luton was down to other people not him.it looks to me as if the board are struggling financially after paying Hughes,Lambert and rowett off,the coffers are obviously empty.

It's not about that now, it's about treating an employee with respect which they aren't currently doing. I can't think of another club where he'd still be the manager in this situation, because the time has come for him to go. This is from someone who was happy for him to stay until we lost to Forest. Instead they're putting him out as the sacrificial lamb when every man and his dog knows it's over.

If Nathan had come out in his interview after tuesdays game and been full of fight and optimistic you could have put some sort of logic on the board still keeping him here (well sort of) but the fact he came out and looked like a defeated man and told us all it just hadn’t worked out and he was sorry, how can he possibly be in charge for another game. It’s madness, he must feel embarrassed, the fact he basically came out with the white flag flying and now he is ok to carry on. He must have walked into Clayton wood on Wednesday morning red faced and looking like a tool.

A sustained rendition from the 8- 10,000 people who will be watching our next home game of ‘Tony Scholes is a wanker, is a wanker’ May let the board know that something is slightly amiss. Failing that it would make me feel a little better.

I think everyone expected the Corner Flag statement the very next day. But no, business as usual it seems. He may have got a lot wrong, but I do feel sorry for him here, the board are making a mockery of him.

All the thing about we have very loyal board and to them it looks good giving managers time used to seem a good way of doing things and gain respect and admiration.
Managers turning us down over the last season or so now makes it a pointless and poor way of going about it.

It can be done, of course, but it's not as easy as getting rid of say MC.

Managers turning us down over the last season or so now makes it a pointless and poor way of going about it. Those board members are specialists in blind loyalty. They obviously dont see what everyone else does or its the fact that they choose not to so they dont have to spend anymore money.
