Is there any issue with duty of care here? The guy is mentally unstable and suffering from a delusional disorder. His seriously is. His employer's should not be putting him out in front of the media. It's negligent. People really need to quit it with these sorts of comments. I can't tell if they're a joke or they're convinced it's morally the right thing but it's bizarre. I'm raising this as a serious issue. I don't think the guy is in a good place at all and his employers should be considering the impact of this pressure on him, both short term and long term. I don't think he's fit enough to handle the pressure. He's never been in a situation like this in his life and he doesn't seem well equipped to deal with it. I can only describe his comments as delusional. Anyway I need to get back to work, before this madness drives me crazy!!!

I can only describe his comments as delusional. Anyway I need to get back to work, before this madness drives me crazy!!! That's a very fair point STD. Mental health of players gets mention nowadays but there's little said about mental health of managers. He must surely be feeling very lonely and very down, if not clinically depressed. He's said a couple of times that he wonders if the players actually want to play for him, which is a worry.
As much as most fans want him out, and he probably wants to walk away himself, the board keeping him in too long might not be doing him any favours even if they think they're being supportive.

It's a very telling comment when he says I have great relationship especially with John.
It's clear to me now the only reason he's here is because John doesn't want to admit he got it wrong again and essentially is putting 2 fingers up at the supporters.
The arrogance of the man is unbelievable.

Then I guess they will take the next best/least worse option. Its a gamble, but to stick blindly with NJ is madness, especially as he is in total detail and bereft of both ideas and hope. But this is my question. Is it feasible that they think the "least worst option" would be sticking with NJ? With what happened after we sacked LMH in mind - ending up with Lambert as our fourth or fifth choice - that they'll go and try to get mangers A, B, C and D and if they all say no the best thing to do would be keeping Jones? It sounds absolutely batshit barmy but I just can't say I'd rule it out. To be honest mate 'batshit barmy' is pretty much the default setting these days (read the news) so to be honest he could be here all season.

He asked a question last season that rattled him and I'm not sure they've been on 'manager - journo' speaking terms since!

All I can say after listening to that is :
Perhaps if the rest of the clubs personnel including at board level, had a few more atoms of his guts and personality - we would surely be doing better
As for whether the job is beyond him - that is squarely up for debate
be lovely to see him turn this around - it really would -

To all you people who keep insisting on backing Jones you should be ashamed of yourself. All this bullshit about he is a nice guy and deserves another chance,he is way way out of his depth and I think what happened at Luton was down to other people not him.it looks to me as if the board are struggling financially after paying Hughes,Lambert and rowett off,the coffers are obviously empty. I'm not saying he should be given another chance etc but are you trying to say he just happened to be there at Luton because thats utter nonsense.

He's off his rocker. The only reason he is still here is because Hughton has turned us down. Once again we cant find anyone of any quality to take over. He turned us down because he wanted to wait for a Prem club the day after he apparently said he'd be willing to speak to us, it was bollocks

We were even worse! The guy has no clue how to set up a team to win a game of football. Plus half of our players being wank doesn’t help

To be fair, that was a very, very, good performance. What against a team that was 18th placed, won 1 game at home and are the lowest scorers in the league? Yeah magnificent result, puts the Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd and multiple Arsenal wins to shame. Let’s be honest it was as wank as anything else this season, we parked up against a team who can’t score. I was just paraphrasing our Nathan. In reality it was shite. Somehow 'a draw at Brentford' has taken over from 'a draw at Anfield', as a yardstick to measure our better performances by.
