I would rather Ince go than Mcclean It's Ince who is blocking verlinden's route into the team as Nj can't play two lightweights You could argue verlo Is quicker and more tricky than Ince, plus Ince never throws his weight around anyway It's impossible to suggest verlo is as good at putting the boot in as Mcclean Interesting point. Ince clearly has talent, far more than MacLean, but we don't see it too often. If Ince is blocking Verlinden then yes.

I’m no McClean fan but that card is absolutely disgusting, there’s absolutely no place in the modern world for any racial, religious or sexual discrimination and I really hope they find out who sent it so he or she can answer to the law

It almost feels that everyone has a problem with son one or something, friendliness and respect to fellow humans seems to have given way to hate and bile.

What the fuckety fuck are you on about? I liked Fuckety Fuck when Les Dawson presented it. Not much for the Paul O'Grady reboot though.

I really hope there is a way of tracking them down because this person is not just nasty, they are potentially dangerous.

Hold on a second Lord B I agree with you on Monkhouse but don't forget Jim (come and look what you could have won) Bowen. I don't suppose James McClean reads this board, but I believe he has many loyal supporters who back him all the way. I am in Derry at the moment, here for the fishing. I have just spent a wonderful night watching Liverpool get dicked in a bar in Derry.I was made most welcome by the locals. It is time for all of us to move on.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't more. He had a year left on his West Brom deal when he joined, and he was an established Premier League player signing a 4-year deal. I'd be guessing 25k minimum? Same with all the Rowett lot probably Bojan is on £27k a week,Diouf similar as is Shawcross. Berahino and Wimmer are on more😓 Everyone else is on less. So 5 players on £1.35 million a year or more but everyone else less would suggest our wage bill for around 30 players is £30 to £40 million. If so, the management have done an amazing job in renegotiating contracts as wages were £94 million last season.

Didn't a lot of contracts have clauses which stated pay would be cut in the event of relegation from the Prem. Just lacks pace and the guile to beat a man apart from that he always puts in a shift. But is that enough for a side looking for promotion? No

Well, some players have moved on (Shaqiri, Afellay,Crouch,Jese,Choupo, Zouma) and been replaced with players on significantly less. The ex Premier players had cuts of up to 40% last summer (& more cuts this summer) The wage bill will be tens of £millions lower now Still going to be the biggest in the division (maybe Albion similar) with an astonishingly poor return.

I despair at the world sometimes.... They spelled Guinness wrong. Just wow. I don't agree with his views and personally think he's a hypocrite, but the level of abuse he gets is staggering, especially without any police involvement over the years.

How many times a game does he run down the line , head down and crosses into the box blindly with no idea where anyone is?
The breakaway for their 2nd goal was of a consequence of him doing exactly that and while he wasnt to blame ( we should have dealt with it ) its getting beyond annoying !

And despite the suggestion that the qunt who sent the card in may be a Stoke "fan" James still ran himself into the ground today for us.

I don't particularly care about his politics to be honest. However he remains a poor footballer and yet another one we paid massively over the odds for.

Because he was playing attacking wing back by that stage, trying to do 2 jobs and there was no one covering him. If we do play NJ's diamond that a risk that has to be overcome by having a DM at the foot of the diamond who fills in. Are we really criticising him for committing himself forward to give us some width? Conveniently forgetting the 3 or 4 times he chased back to intercept an attack! NJ identified that Sheff U had seen that a ball inside BMI would create chances for them and acted accordingly!! With fans like these.......??!!

Plenty others on the exit list before McLean for me. I actually don’t mind him... very single threaded but he always looks to get down the line and put a cross in. Yeah the quality isn’t always there but I love his energy and directness. Rarely goes backwards.

Awful, mechanical footballer with so little ability needs moving on priority number one, followed by Ince and the Afobe. We are woeful going foward and these three are the cause.

As it is, will he stay to be presumably back-up left-back to the Luton kiddie or A.N. Other? Got to think we'll be open to moving him on if MON picks up the phone.

He will stay as one of Jones' automatic choices, I'm afraid. There has been nothing to suggest Jones sees Stoke without McClean. It's unthinkable, for him, not me.
