Difficult route🤔With the exception of Chelsea I’m struggling mate It’s a pretty significant ‘with the exception of’ though Mutts? Taking Liverpool to penalties over two legs is a pretty decent effort too. I accept that but I was on about up to the semi final

I accept that but I was on about up to the semi final We got lucky in the FA cup semi mate as let’s be honest if we hadn’t drawn Bolton there would be no fa cup final Cardiff ( championship), Brighton( 3rd tier ),Wolves ( bottom of premiership ) and West Ham at home says it was hardly a difficult route but fair play he did it In the league cup we drew a flying Chelsea and Liverpool who a few weeks prior had blown Man City away at the etihad but that’s all forgotten and rewritten A penalty kick was the difference in a game we actually won at Anfield

There is a rump of supporters that suddenly find being 17th in the Championship and barely raising a shot in anger, not just against the likes of Derby but also the likes of Ipswich as being perfectly acceptable.
They've somehow convinced themselves that this group of players is so bad it is has no right to compete with the might of Blackburn, Swansea, Brentford and Birmingham and are prepared to give the manager an entirely free pass.
It’s fucking hogwash. Jones has lots of time on his side but let’s not kid ourselves, his performance so far is very much in the 5/10 bracket.
Personally, I was expecting a bit more than that.

Football clubs do have identities (I can't think of a better word). These can change over time, for example Stoke's identity was different in the Waddington era to the Pulis era, but both managers were right at the time. Appointing a manager who is wrong for the time, or just doesn't get the 'identity' leads to disaster. That's why Pulis failed at West Brom, Mourinho at Manchester United, and, arguably,, Rowett at Stoke. There's plenty more examples. I think Nathan Jones is getting more slack largely because fans believe that he understands the club he has come to and how the fans think.

It clearly isn't acceptable as we have fans on his back already, even if many are hiding it amongst the "obviously he gets time" routine.
Those tolerating it are doing so based on what he might do in the future, when he has time to turn the squad around from the mess it is now into something resembling a competitive physical and technical specimen. On top of that many realise a lot of the current problems go back to Hughes's time here and have been made worse by the ridiculously expensive and wasteful transfers of the last manager.
On top of that still, many recognise the first two signings of the new manager as being more right and fit for purpose than many signings made by any Stoke manager dating back to Marko Arnautovic and Peter Odemwingie, in terms of talent, character and frankly, filling a much needed hole in the team.
A lot of the tolerance is based on solid evidence of what he's done at his previous club, where he created an absolute machine.
In short, button thee lips and give him time for Christ's sake. If he fails, he fails. He won't be the first or last.

What team would really get us firing on the front foot?

Point one. We shouldn’t get rid of NJ. Clearly bonkers to get rid. Point two. I’ve never known Stoke fans be so excepting of four, dull footy. Purely from a visual spectical we are dreadful, I mean awful to watch. How can that be ok? Point wahn: agreed me old China Point two: A bit confusin pal. On the wahn St. Martins you're sayin to staand by the gaffa, but on the ovver you're makin a commotion abaat 'is footie?

At least he got us there! With a piss easy route but fair play he did it Mark Hughes got within a penalty kick of getting us to Wembley with an difficult route but it never gets a mention Why was it “piss easy”? Four of the six teams we played in the FA Cup in 2011 were Premier League and weren’t the other two promotion contenders? Hardly piss easy when compared to the embarrassing eliminations to lower league teams we’ve suffered in recent years.

If we're getting rid of Jones and going down the ginger route we may as well give Dave Kitson a chance at management, it would unite the fans if nothing else.

Point 2 is quite staggering unless you missed all of the years Pulis was in charge, a good few of them were totally mind numbing. A few years of TP - really! It was three months. The rest was a glorious improvement from the certainty of relegation to the 3rd Division upto our first FA Cup Final and rampaging through Europe. It was always going to be ‘after the Lord Mayor’s show’ following that. However TP would have kept us in the Prem and I never found that boring. Getting rid of TP is now looking like an even worse decision than forgetting to insure the Butler Street roof.

H You’d hope so, but in the last two games we’ve had to play 82 minutes with 10 men and go to one of the better teams in the league with several first team players out. In that context the defensive effort is a positive. Especially given the dearth of options in the squad.

The difference between Rowett and Jones was clear in the after match interview. After the game Jones was disappointed with the performance and wants to improve. I can only imagine Rowett would have been telling Nige how that was 6 games unbeaten with three consecutive clean sheets. A big difference in perspective.

You'd have a point if Jones had had a full summer to get his players in and had time to work on things without having to play competitive games each week, if its the same next season then it would be a concern, as it stands he's working with an unbalanced squad that even on paper lacks creativity and depth.
We are doing whats needed, it may not be pretty but if it gets us over the line then so be it as long as there's a long term plan, I don't see how there's any problem atm.
