Great news FM he needs an old head with him? Seems a sensible old head who's been around the block a few times Discusses his relationship with Jones on here, about 3 minutes in. And Jones discusses Hart here about 10 mins in - you can tell he's got loads of respect for him and describes him as "one of my best friends"

Great news. Done superb work with youth players over the years, particularly the brilliant crop he brought through at Forest.
'Wise old head' is a cliche but it'll be an interesting contrast to see how Jones gets on with a wise old consigliere, given that Rowett's (Kevin Summerfield) didn't go with him and that was possibly a factor in his failure.

He's a big advocate of the diamond which he used with Nottm' Forest. Pretty certain he had David Prutton at the base of it. (How and why I remember that I don't know...)
As said above, i'm convinced a big part of why Rowett failed here was his decision to not bring Summerfield with him, a bloke who had been with him at every single club previous.

Are people seriously getting excited about Paul Hart- he has been a disaster as a manager and Notts County his current employers are bottom of league 2 ffs-more evidence that the board have lost the plot absolutely desperate appointment You're looking for someone you trust as an assistant, aren't you? A sounding board. The two of them are clearly close and respect each other. Jones has hand-picked him and we've had to pay compensation to get him. Jones trust Hart and thinks he offers something. He's been in football for 50 years, so he's probably picked up a thing or two. He was the assistant for 2 years at Luton during which they were very successful. He's been 'technical director' at Notts County for a few months because the travel to and from Luton was becoming a problem, and no-one at Notts County seemed to be particularly sure what his role was. I don't think you can use a few months in the shadows there as a stick to beat him with.

Jones & Hart built a good partnership previously and think highly of each other. I certainly can't see a negative.

Really pleased with his appointment. We need a bit of experience or more so NJ has a sounding board.

This might turn out to be the best bit of business that the club has done for years, a highly regarded figure in the footballing industry who’s been there and done it from a player, coach, manager and technical director. Wise old head for Nathan to learn from a bit like Rudgie was too Pulis he was also a nasty bastard as a player so he won’t take no shit off these clowns.

He looks like one of those people that’s smiley and nice but if they lose it they properly lose it...reckon our players in for a massive bollocking if they don’t pull it together!

IMHO. NJ would benefit from an experienced senior Pro to mentor, provide guidance/support/advice, especially one that HE trusts in
