At last a proper ‘football man’ who knows what he’s doing.

He has a lot of relevant experience and may well do a decent job.
But that's not why he is here.
He is here because unlike the likes of Sam Allardyce, Harry redknapp et Al. He's not going to be going around rocking the boat. Asking questions inside and outside of the club ( including in the media)
He is going to be a quiet yes man
Who will allow Scholes carto and jc to carry on as before, for good or for bad, and pocket lots of cash, thank you very much

He's coming in not to be a patsy for the Dynamic Duo he's coming in because our new manager wants him, has worked successfully with him before and trusts him.

I wonder what people would have thought if in August you’d told them Nathan Jones and paul hart would be our management team before the end of January , credit where credit is due recruitment team have very successfully lowered expectation from the lowest possible base .

Given a management team of Tony Pulis and Dave Kemp took us into Europe, i'd say many wouldn't look at it the same way you are.

Happy with PH.
NJ obviously rates him and believes he will help him make it work, so pleased the top floor have given him every opportunity.
Along with NJ, he fully deserves - and should get - our full support.

To be honest from an academy perspective Im liking what Im hearing and seeing from the new regime. We might finally have a management team that know how to develop young players to make the step up. Most wont succeed here but it would be great to start seeing some more players who started out at stoke in the football league.

Perhaps we might have done our homework and been surprised and perhaps a little excited about something different from the same old merry go round managers, and perhaps looked at Jones’s football philosophy and drive!

Benj I think most people would accept Morcambe and Wise, the Chuckle Brothers, the Two Ronnie’s or the Krankies etc. as long as there was a rapport with supporters, supporters could understand a plan and witness progress. Pep/Klopp would fail with the current management of the club. The owners and CEO have certainly been successful in lowering expectations whether by design or by mistakes have yet to be established. There is no doubt in my mind that the recruitment strategy is at the core of where we find ourselves today. It’s up to individual supporters to consider who proposed and implemented the process and after continued failure why it wasn’t abandoned

Paul hart is an excellent addition. A proper football man, by all accounts a brilliant coach and an exceptional track record developing young players.
Personally, I'm chuffed with this addition to Jones team.

I can't see a downside to this at all. Seems a decent fella, the manager wants him, loads of experience and champions young players.
Always thought he had a quiet authority about him as well which might not be a bad thing as we go through the pain of transitioning this squad.

It’s going to take time, but I’m optimistic Stoke NOW have the right manager and backroom staff to stop the rot and move the club forward... Only time will tell.

“While I am tremendously excited for the challenges ahead with Stoke City, I am sad to be leaving Meadow Lane.
“Notts County is a club very close to my heart and, especially with the current predicament, this is not a decision I took lightly.
Notts owner and chairman Alan Hardy added: “This is a magnificent opportunity for Paul and we were not going to stand in his way.
“It’s been a pleasure working with him and his knowledge and experience have been a big help to us.
“We wish him and Nathan the very best of luck in their new challenge.”

He looks like one of those people that’s smiley and nice but if they lose it they properly lose it...reckon our players in for a massive bollocking if they don’t pull it together! He's got a very passive aggressive borderline psychopath look about him.
Top that off with mental Nathan (I watched him closely the other night and he's a right bundle of energy) and I feel we might be in for some fun.

I find it more comforting to know that if they are shit they’ll be in a for a proper bollocking. Like we don’t need to abuse them as much because we know they will suffer for it!
