The lad as got no match fitness. Sounded like he was ok for 70 mins like them all, however may have tired? I’d still pick him Saturday If he plays and Leeds have any strength wide left we’ll get raped 🤣 ROFL

I think the result has blinded some on here, I actually thought he was OK going forward but he’ll he was crap as a full back, that being said our alternatives leave a lot to be desired, if he and the team continue to get the results then fair play to picking him and that is probably why I am not a football manager.....
Final words “one swallow does not make a summer”

Final words “one swallow does not make a summer” You understand that phrase right....ie one good game doesn't make him a good player. You know he's had quite a few good games for us yeah? Last season he was a breath of fresh air - but Lambert made up for his lack of positional sense by playing him on the wing. Rowett quickly picked up his defensive frailties and dropped him. Bauer fits in with Jones's style of play but unless he addresses the weaknesses in his game and we strengthen at centre back I can't see him holding down a first team place for long. He does the pretty things well but he really doesn't come across as someone who puts the team first. Which looks to me like what Jones is looking for in a player, Happy to be proved wrong - it's just what I see at the moment.

It’s not a dig at the lad it’s expected, and he will get sharper for more games

Well if I didn’t go how could I have seen him? Like I say reports and people I’ve spoke to said he did well for 70 mins and understandably tired

Like I say reports and people I’ve spoke to said he did well for 70 mins and understandably tired He did do well for 70 mins. A lot of them did tire. I didn’t think he particularly did but there was clearly a lot of shock on the pitch at the horror unfolding before them. And I do think he had Clucas in front of him who was an absolute liability against Shrewsbury which can’t have been easy for him!

He ended up leaving a gap by touchline and gap to otherdefenders. Don't know if Jones wanted them All tight and show winger down the line and we'd just clear cross and Bauer was just indicisive. He just didn't seem know where be, could just been knackered though. Just have wait few more games. Anyway, roll on Saturday 👏

And to be honest if someone tells me the lad played well for 70 mins then understandably tires after his fist game for many a month I’m happy to believe that regardless if I was there or not. Funnily enough the majority of folk that went the Shrewsbury game on here said the same.

I thought Saturday he did well. Again not fully match fit but you could see glimpses of the Bauer from last season that was intercepting balls and making good runs. In the system jones plays that’s his position to lose. He’s a natural at the wingback role

He's hardly played a game for months and he played decent against Leeds. Do we expect players to be at their best straight away after that?
Apparently Wolves have been interested in him, he looked pretty decent in the Premier League last year, and the owners extended his contract after their view of him.
I am really struggling to have a bad a view of him at the moment.

Well at least this one can be put to bed for good. He is complete toss - CONFIRMED At least we can agree now hopefully. The longer someone is not playing they somehow turn into Messi. He is completely toss.

If anyone needed any confirmation of how shit he is defensively then today should show everyone this.In my opinion he hid today just like a few others did also, didn’t want the ball, didn’t want to go forward with the ball and totally not the answer to the right full back position. I’ve not seen their 2nd goal again since the game but I’m 99% certain Jones was going apeshit at him after it went it because of his lack of covering for the goal.Never seen a manager so angry on the touchline for a very long time

I'm not surprised with his performance today. He just can't defend and he never will. In a back three he's fine. Back four forget it. Tom Edwards for me all day long.

Quest may show it
