Coolest looking player in the league. Why because he's wearing "proper" black boots?

Coolest looking player in the league. Why because he's wearing "proper" black boots? The whole combo works; the shirt and short style and sizing as well as the black boots. Makes him look like someone from our '72 side.

If we get a bonkers PL offer, then off he goes surely.
If not (unlikely now tbh), he gets the same clean sheet chance off NJ as anyone else for me.
Yes, he's had mixed reviews & looked very dodgy in the U23's by all accounts but that's probably 100% down to motivation - but now he's got first dibs at RWB so it's down to him herein.
Otherwise, it's ano position on the wish list for the summer.

From the Fam Stand yesterday my 7yr old said there's a girl playing for our team during the 2nd half! I said who, thinking she was referring to Williams due to his hair bun but she said no the No.2..! Moritz's flowing blonde locks clearly made her think Bauer was a girlie... bless..

i was of the understanding players 'black out' boots when they have no official boot supplier. It means they aren't promoting a brand they aren't being paid for.
the entire black boot does also look way cooler than the horrendous timmy mallet inspired ones.
Jesus wept, grown men wearing anything neon. But i'll stop there as i can moan my bag off all day about shit boot/kit design.

I had a lovely brown pair of Stanley Mathews Co-op boots back in the day and the dog shit off the rec. didn't even show up on them! Mother wouldn't let me clean 'em in the kitchen sink though.

Offensively he seems OK, but questions raised on defending from what I have seen.

Offensively he seems OK, but questions raised on defending from what I have seen. Also better defensively than our other two options at right back. One is slow and the other weak as piss, at least Bauer wants to compete and has the pace and strength to do so.

Upon reflection its seams a strange thing to sign another right back this season. But there you go. He might be a complete twit, wouldn't be the first. But I would certainly hope hes not. I think NJ will be letting us know as clearly he wont be signing / playing twits, not judging by the interview he gave around a streamline squad and new signings.

1st half got pulled away from his man a few times but I think that was a little bit of confusion as to whether Allen was helping him with the 2 bombing on to him. Seemed alot more settled and confident in the second half and made some really good runs and cut the ball alot. Complete difference than Shrewsbury's where he looked like a fish out of water. Think the immense performance from Ryan helped him yesterday.

Clucas was the same. He will get better with games, he is definitely the best option at Rb or Rwb

Coolest looking player in the league. Why because he's wearing "proper" black boots? Charlie always seems to be a traditionalist & wears black boots too..

Offensively he seems OK, but questions raised on defending from what I have seen. That's how I see it. Even before the Leeds goal (which again came from his area of the pitch) and with Leeds down to 10 men somehow Leeds's players managed to find acres of space down their left. Bauer is decent on the ball but his positioning is terrible. Personally I'd persevere with Edwards and wouldn't have a problem if Bauer was sold as part of the fire sale.

When we went 2-0 up Leeds pushed on. Bauer had 2 players down his side all the time. Midfield 3 were slow to come over to help.

I thought they did second half but I could be wrong. I thought Bauer did a great job. BMI had go to the left to help Clucas a lot. Williams came less to help Bauer.

More so first half, Williams was shouting Bauer to sit back and move In narrower. Pleased with Bauer considering the minutes he’s played.

Having watched the reply where was Bauer at the corner? On the ball Bauer had a very good game - but his positioning is terrible. Blaming the centre backs and midfield players for not covering him when he goes walkabout is giving him far too much leeway for weaknesses in his own game.

And on Tuesday he would go and get back in position and then Clucas was whinging at him when Clucas lost his man and expecting Bauer to come out and cover for him. And Bruno covered Clucas a lot on Saturday and no-one is whinging at him.

Other players being complete toss does not get him off the hook either. The lad as got no match fitness. Sounded like he was ok for 70 mins like them all, however may have tired? I’d still pick him Saturday Sounded like?
