A modern day Moses leading Stoke out of slavery in the Championship back to the Holy Land of the Premiership? Either that or a fruit cake

Might be some interesting post-match interviews Fair play to Nathan, I like that he sounds a proper heart-on-sleeve bloke.

Never understood why this should matter whether someone believes or not. He can get out a prayer rug or dance around monoliths at midnight or speak in tongues or not bother with any of it for all I care. If he doesn't turn this team around and start winning, we'll all be waving goodbye to him as well.

In a time when it's trendy to mock faith and especially (solely) Christianity it's refreshing to hear someone speak so passionately about it. For those who believe this is rewarding to hear. Like seeing a stoke top when you are on holiday. For those that don't believe it's a non event and shouldn't affect their view of the guy or provide an opportunity for cheap religious/faith based shots.

I don't share his faith (I don't follow any religion) but I have no problem with what anyone believes. So long as their personal belief helps them to cope with life and doesn't harm others then that is fine by me. That goes for any faith, not just Christianity.
If his faith really is a source of strength to him then it is a win win situation for the club.

He said in a previous interview that it was a very difficult decision to agree to play football on Sundays. He said in a recent interview that coming to Stoke was the biggest decision of his life. The man seems to have his priorities right

Never met a Christian who I've thought is a better person or more or less trust worthy than anyone else. The only thing I object to is having religion pushed on me. Good Luck Nathan.

As with any personal faith or belief system he should be free to "have at it" on personal grounds. Let just hope he employs a more evidence based and quantifiable method of working when it comes to his professional practices.

As long as his faith doesn't negatively impact his players who may disagree with him I'm fine with it. Would hate a scenario where players are ostracized or pressurized into group prayers before matches or something like that. As long as everyone is treated equally and fairly under his management, I'm cool with whatever he does in his personal time.

I wonder how effectively working for bet365 sits with him? I know he was very much part of Luton's anti-gambling drive, we're just about the polar opposite of that stance.
