I don't care if he's a pagan sacrificing chickens before the whistle as long as he turns this shit around he's my man. If he was a Muslim saying "God willing" you backwards cunts over there would call him "courageous" and he'd prolly be on some BBC special about hate and "tolerance" in a week's time. Such a fucked up double standard these days. Mr Texas, As someone who has a foot either side of the pond I'd just like to remind to that your previous president and the UK PM went to war and slaughtered many innocents because GOD told them too. (albeit a good Christian tradition down the centuries) That in my mind makes way more of a backward cunt than comments on a MB. GD

Dunno , when does one become 'devout' as oppose to just a regular Christian ? I must admit I'm extra wary of the devout ones ! Of the catholic persuasion I believe. John Rudge is also a regular churchgoer. But then freedom of worship is something we subscribe to in the UK so no big deal really. Apart from Islam judging by some oatcake posters!

Our new Manager's Parents didn't allow him to play football on a Sunday until he was 16, as they said it was 'God's day'.

Yes - when I was growing up that was fairly normal although my family weren’t particularly religious. I had to put on my best clothes and shoes on Sunday and was told not to play football. Of course I did but had to frantically clean my shoes before I got home. Walking to Sunday School in Longton Central along “Lineside” to save the bus fare didn’t help keep my shoes clean either.

I remember walking miles to Sunday school as a young child and infant school. We were told to be careful, because there were "a lot of strange men" about after the war.
Would it be safe to do it nowadays?

God hasn't done a lot to stop the natural disasters of which there have been about a million or so up to now.
God should step up to the plate ASAP or be given a P45.

AS someone who does God, and is quite knowledgeable. He hasn't said enough yet to know here he is at fully. He is a Christian who will speak about his faith in ways that reflect a conservative evangelical upbringing, whether that be Pentecostal or not I don't know yet. What's clear is that he doesn't use sugar-coated language to make his faith accessible, and talks about his faith using words and phrases that are understood in church, but seem weird out of it. Though i'd probably agree with most of what he has said on faith. I would use very different language, just not to come across a bit weird. Apart from Islam judging by some oatcake posters! My very Catholic Wife tells me that our new Messiah is definitely not Catholic, he's more Pentecostal? Its all too confusing for me

It's just stupid it is even an issue at all as ive pointed out. I've also seen islamists kill for GOD in Britain in recent years what's the difference? Numbers? Eitherway all the abrahamic religious folk are hypocrites.

I can relate to that a lot. For what it's worth I believe Klopp is also a devout Christian and it certainly doesn't seem to have done him any harm or have caused him any problems relating to players of different beliefs. Lastly, from a footballing point of view how refreshing is it to have a manager who is kept awake at night by only managing a draw?!

I wonder how effectively working for bet365 sits with him? I know he was very much part of Luton's anti-gambling drive, we're just about the polar opposite of that stance. "Faith" 😂

Tex, mate, you really need to stop watching Fox News... The truth hurts. I doubt he'll get praise for his beliefs as they aren't the new faux pas in Britain. We all know that. Seriously mate, it doesn't hurt because it's just gibberish. There are no "no-go" muslim / sharia law areas where the police dare not venture, not in Birmingham or London or anywhere else, whatever the Fox News fruit-loops say. It's as nonsensical as us brits forming our opinions of the US based solely on watching Family Guy and the Dukes of Hazard. (By the way, I'm not knocking either of those TV programs).
