If anything I thought Bojan was a bit too deep at times, especially inn the second half before he went off. Completely agree, didn't impact the game enough, was rightly subbed and his replacement set up or second. He wouldn't start the next game for me, but would come off the bench if required.

If anything I thought Bojan was a bit too deep at times, especially inn the second half before he went off. I thought that but it looked like he'd been instructed to stay deep as Berahino and Ince were cutting in to become the 2nd and 3rd strikers.

Thought he started deep but made runs that pushed the team forward. Think Rowetts got a soft spot for Bojan. We are going to see him flourish this season.

He stayed deep and closed down players, kept possession, and was quite conservative but he was instructed todo that. He picked out a couple of smashing passes in the first half.
He is playing himself in. If he keeps working like that he'll keep playing.
I'd have him ahead of etebo on that performance.

We win and lose as a team. At the moment we lose more often than win. Until we score more than we concede it's not good enough. We could have scored 57 goals by the end of the season, but if we concede 75 we will go down! Firstly, no we won't, that's not how football works. A -18 GD would be unlikely to see us relegated in this division. Those figures were entirely arbitrary. As anyone can see 57 is the exact opposite of 75. I would have thought even you could work that out...

I thought he did enough to warrant a place in the side again. We looked a much better attacking unit with him in the side instead of three midfielders all of similar ilk.

I thought he did very well.
As mentioned, he'd clearly been told to be slightly more conservative in the midfield 3 and I think he played the role perfectly.
Some fantastic passes, good positional play, and kept the ball moving constantly.
He starts next game for me.

I thought that but it looked like he'd been instructed to stay deep as Berahino and Ince were cutting in to become the 2nd and 3rd strikers. Perhaps so. But Joe Allen was getting into positions much further forward than Bojan for large spells of the game which I thought was strange because when Bojan did help out further forward in the first half some of our passing and his link up play was sublime. That's not to say that Allen didn't have a good game though because I thought he was superb.

Rowett on Bojan tonight: He's a terrific attacking talent. Can he help us enough on the other side to help the team and justify starting? He did really well tonight, got his body where he needed to, filled spaces. Technique, composure on the ball etc.

Bojan had a very good game - I would have preferred him to stay on and Bera make way for McClean - still, not gonna complain - a very important win

He's a ten. End of story. So you know better than Bojan what his best position is..? Of course I do else I wouldn't have said it. He's a number 10.

The insinuation that the league is a challenge for Bojan is utterly ridiculous. He is way too good to ply his trade in this league if he is even at 70% of his best. Get him in the side and let the opposition worry about him/us. Would love to see him get close to 70% , something he hasn't managed for a long time . It's not about his ability more about his effectiveness Play him week in week out,and he will rip this league apart. He's a special player if given the opportunity again. He's got it in him, just hope the powers that be are on the same wave length.

Had a decent enough game. Would like to see him further forward where he can do damage though.
Ince superb again.

Yes, I should have predicted that he would have played there having probably never played there in his career. I don't know how I sleep at night. He's a number 10. I'm not quite sure you're getting the gist of this.

He did really well tonight, got his body where he needed to, filled spaces. Technique, composure on the ball etc. I reckon Rowett's going to convert Bojan to be our Carrilero. Unless he intends to play him as a central defender when up against smaller forwards. That way he can help GR enough on the other side and justify starting. Goals won't do the trick but helping defensively will...

Can we put to bed the Rowett is anti football conspiracy theories now.
If he was he wouldn't pick such players at all.

Yes, I should have predicted that he would have played there having probably never played there in his career. Hughes played him there as you will recall. It wasnt a success.... Oh really? Hughes played him wide, and he was rubbish. Hughes played him as a false 9 and it worked for one game before descending into chaos. That just leaves his best position, as a number 10. What a bizarre thread.

It would have made him one for the night, but I'm glad you didn't whisper your tactical genius ideas into GR's ear. Please refrain from doing so in the future as well...
