I try not to think about it.
I suffer terribly with nerves and worry over my health.
On occasions thinking the worst. I've talked to a professional about it last year as it was and still sometimes does get me down.
I have to calm myself down otherwise I start making the worrying worse. I wouldn't talk about it for ages until last year. Now don't mind admitting its a problem. After some good advice i learn to combat it now tho with good thoughts.
So I don't think about that subject otherwise don't know what I'd be like.
Chuckled at joke tho.

I often think about it. I think i have around 39 years left. Be careful Waggy. Matthew 24 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Or Luke 12:15-21 — The Rich Fool Then he said to them, “Watch out!* Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.” ’ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ “This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God I like Churchill's approach. I am prepared to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter.

I think as you get older you do think about it more, especially as friends, family, even celebs that you grew up watching start to pop off. For me, i'd like it to be quick, no prolonged illness, no relying on people to wipe my arse, and to be honest I have had a fucking awesome life so far. When I do go I hope it is in Thailand with my wife and son able to give me a good send off, i'd hate the thought of being a burden to anyone here having to pay for a big meaningless funeral... In Thailand you can get a good do for about 300 quid...That'll do me nicely thank you.

My dear old dad passed away just over 6 years ago now after a long battle with prostate cancer. My grandad also died with it. So as you can imagine it has sort of focussed my mind somewhat and I'm ultra wary of any twinges or slight pain in my undercarriage area. If I last as long as my dad did I reckon I've got about another 18 years left now. It's a pretty sobering thought when you think about it, especially as the years seem to pass ever faster as you get older. So it's relax in early retirement, take as many holidays as me and the missus can fit in (and afford !), try if possible not to get stressed over anything, and make the most of each day. I just hope when I do pop off that it's quick, painless, and that we've been promoted by then !

Death doesn't worry me. I nearly died 7 years ago. The hospital doctors had given up on me and told me so. I was at one with the decision and felt quite relaxed about it. A young Chinese doctor went above and beyond what was expected of her. She identified the parasite that was destroying my kidneys and a cure was found. Good old NHS. So here I am boring you all tonight. What does frighten me is old age. Trapped in a body that does not work anymore, like my father. I do not want to live too long.

I think about it every day.
I don't think I'm scared of death itself as much as being in a position in which I know death is imminently approaching.
Ideally I'd be shot in the head in my sleep, IRA style.

Death is fine as long as you don't die of anything serious.
I've been really close a few times, had the life flash in front of me thing and some serious illness. Have to say the quick way would be better than the long drawn out illness.
Maybe we could all go together on a day when the world with one voice just says "I'm sick of this shit"....button....How's that for inclusivity.

If you die of something it must be pretty serious , no ? Yeh it was a joke =) But the real reason most people don't want to die is because they don't know what is next if anything. It's like fear of the dark, it's not what you can see, it's what you imagine could be there. Anyway all I'll say is I'll be nice and warm where I'm going^

Both my parents died of terminal illness and were happy to talk about it and were very supportive of all of us kids who were in bits at the time . That's the only time I envy people with faith as it's a great support mechanism at the end .

I don't think there is an "after life", I reckon once you're gone you're gone and that's it.
I'm not really all that bothered about dying itself, I'm more concerned about how long is left, and just hope I don't get a painful terminal illness.
I just feel frustrated that I won't know what happens in the future after I've gone, not being with the wife, not seeing future generations of my family, technology advancements, space exploration, Stoke winning something again (!). Although the way terrorism etc is going the world may not be a pleasant place to live in a few decades time anyway.so maybe it's best to live now anyway (not the there is any choice in the matter).
I often think given a choice would I have chosen to live now or at some time in the past or future - anybody have any similar thoughts ?

Our generation is the only one that hasn't fought a war so all in all it's been a good period of peace and prosperity. No famine or social unrest either . As for stoke winning something 😁

I don't think there is an "after life", I reckon once you're gone you're gone and that's it. Wrong. You're immortal. It's all about recycling of souls. You will be sent back here - no matter if you like it or not, until you reach a certain level. What most people call "after life" is in fact another life. I'm more certain of this, than me just written this post. 👍

When , how , etc I want to go like my grandfather, he passed away Peacefully in his sleep , unlike his terrified passengers It's only normal for a chap of your age to be thinking of death now. I believe you'll die alone in a caravan only to be found 6months later in a room full of flies stinking of meat juice, piss and shit. Similar to the sent you give off at the cricket club on match day 😏

I have been patched up twice by the N.H.S. (Heart bypass and new kidney- not all at the same time). I just want to enjoy the rest of my life with simple pleasures. (watching Stoke can be a bit traumatic at times!). I try to avoid stressful situations. My biggest fear is dementia. To go peacefully in the middle of the night is about the best one can hope for.
