Why are people having ago at Tony and Carto for not signing the 2 LB's btw? Rowett gave them a list of names he wanted to be signed and they obviously weren't on that list, surely it's Rowett's fault for not rating them if you want someone to moan at? same with Vydra seemingly.

Badou, Imbula, Choupo, Adam, Diouf. What's your point? It's easy for us fans to reel off names of players we want rid of and also for the manager to do that. However, if there's no realistic takers for them then what can we do? Just saying those are the players we should be getting out of the door so we can get new players in. Diouf may be off anyway, likewise Badou. Imbula will probably be loaned somewhere again. Choupo not looking like he’s part of Rowetts plans and Adam can bog off back Scotland for some deep fried mars bars 😃

I'm sure when he signed a figure of around £65k p/wk was mentioned? There was talk he was on a sky-high wage when he joined as a Bosman. But surely he wouldn't have been on anywhere near that when he signed his new 3-yr deal last September? Mind you, who knows? Talk of us valuing him at £15m, negotiating tactic or not, and Leicester being in for him, has made me question everything! No idea mate. Maybe a lower salary than his original contract but I can't imagine it being too much of a cut? Also can't see it reduced to anywhere near the alleged £18k that this article suggests either.

That's why we employed him to use his leverage with his contacts isn't it. A 12 year old can type 'defensive midfielder' and search in a database.

When does he sign or do we have to chase him for a few more windows until he's 33?

However, if there's no realistic takers for them then what can we do? You tell them to find another club and not give them a squad number. You don't dish out new contracts and allow them to make the club look stupid with media posts which in my opinion constitute "breach of contract" and should be answered with "termination of contract" in the case of Adam. You don't put a player/players who have no future at Stoke City for whatever reason in a shirt on the pitch and that includes the subs bench. We're a football club looking to play in the best league in the world not a bloody retirement home or young offenders institute.

Would sell him for 8 million. Seriously? £12m seems to be about the benchmark for a Prem striker; anything around that then I think we should accept, especially if we see him as a bit-part player. It looks like Afobe, Bojan, Crouch and maybe even Berahino are ahead of him in the pecking order here. That may be so, but the first three were misfiring yesterday and can you really take Berahino seriously. It's going to take a big part out of the Stoke dna if Mame does leave. Just like with Walters, some might actually see what a big part he has been playing for us once he is gone.

What if the players you are looking to move on ALREADY have a contract for the next 2 years?? Still going to tell them to find another club - they are not under any pressure to move. As for the media posts angle p- it doesn't matter very much what YOUR opinion is IF legally their actions do NOT constitute 'breach of contract'. Of course, if legal opinion is the other way, you might be taken to court before they go! Have to be sure of your ground before you let frustration drop you in the ....?

Have they missed a decimal point out here? Surely we are holding out for 1.5m not 15m?

Fuck me, people moan their backsides off about the club selling top players for peanuts and when we reject what appears to be a very good fee for Mame Diouf... people moan their backsides off. I give up. I think its more the fact Diouf is bang average and holding out for 15m is like me getting offered £50 for my primark trainers but holding out for £1,000. Not happening and delusional. Honestly if we got rid of him for £3m (which we wont we'll get more) we would be winning. Money in the pocket and massive wages gone.

I like Diouf as a player as he does give everything in effort, unlike some we have, BUT if anybody is offering £8-10m for him surely we have to accept. I normally prefer steady change but yesterday was awful and we desperately need to shake up our squad and get some creativity, pace and flair upfront. Diouf's a willing runner but he needs too many chances to convert which we really can't afford any more.

As bad as our transfer team is, I just can't fathom that we would hold out for 15m. Not even Scholes and Co could be that stupid. . Oh yes they are ! They are I did hear from a relaible source that they actually had the chance to make a small profit in Imbula at one point but turned it down , not sure they would make one now , but then in the daft world of foootball you never know I guess .

And now you can go back to crying.
