A couple of your posts don’t make sense Stoneroses. What’s Vydra got to do with Andre Gray? And is it just Diouf out and a fullback in? Cheers I'm guessing he meant those two before thurs then any other deals will happen on the last day. Yes exactly mate

So diouf definitely going.? Are we tempted with any sales items from Leicester such as amartey I've been reflecting on this 'Diouf to Leicester' thing and intuitively it can't be right. It's simply inconceivable that Leicester would want him. I don't think they would even take him on a 'free' and it seems we are requesting a considerable fee. I think he will still be a Stoke City player when this window closes.

They have to believe he has special powers, otherwise they would have held back and waited for his contract to run out. But making an approach for him four times, man, that man Diouf must really be something!

I mean Diouf seems like a lovely fella but I thought Leicester were a semi-serious Premier League outfit, heck they won the bloody thing just over 2 years ago. None of it makes any sense so I remain inclined to say it won't happen.

Now this may sound slightly stupid but I would have thought that this would be one of the busiest times of the year for football agents? But we are led to believe that one of our own contributors is innocently given confidential details of ongoing financial transactions between professional football players and would be clubs. How can this agent be making a living, because he seems to be discussing player transactions more with our contributor than it would seem possible with the clubs involved, he also seems to represent or be involved with every player that maybe mulling over a future transfer in this country or abroad ?

Wouldn't 15m be on the way to getting, say, Rondon, Mounie, Callum Wilson, Jay Rodriguez, Dembele (Celtic), ... even 2/3 of Wellbeck perhaps?

The news is being greeted with a mixture of disbelief and resignation on the Leicester Message Board: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Oh christ not again. I thought we'd dodged that bullet 3 years ago. I can't handle this any more. Hopefully just old news. Now he is one that we have seen play and for me, despite the odd goal, is quite poor. We already have better options. We've hit full on panic stations haven't we Every day new names come up but its getting worse each time So we are going for a player that even though his team are losing doesn't get any game time in the division below George Boyd next WTF Puel has he been on the pot? WE HAVE GONE FULL PANIC MODE...ACTIVE SCLHUPPS BUY BACK CLAUSE THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE This is hilarious Literally a donkey, if we sign this cvnt I'm done, season ticket cut up into tiny pieces. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> And so it goes on for 3 more pages with not a single dissenting voice, its not going to happen, if it ever was, among that level of ridicule is it? I’d give my left butt cheek for George Boyd at this point watching our team let people dribble at them without a challenge. I’d probably also buy a right sided end of aisle seat when I come to the bet365 this season so I can lean out and get a running start if the squad shows no fight or want again.

Tony I’m actiwllt inthe oposite camp he can score double digit goals in th premier league and has a brilliant attitude I think he is one of the few we could sell so we are , somebody is leaking noise about being prudent instead of the early talk of ambition and I’d say this is just a balance sheet item not a precursor to material investment

This other mention of a Championship Midlands club intrigues me though. I can only think WBA, Forest, Derby, or Villa. The first two might be cash the second two could be makeweight for Vydra or Chester.

If we get £10-15m for Diouf, Scholes should be done for daylight robbery... I can’t see Leicester being that bloody stupid.
Anyhow, I hope he doesn’t get sold, i’ve got a few more banjo/cow’s arse posts waiting in the wings.

I don’t get why we have to leave it till the last day surely it’s just leaving it to late if any previous deadline days have anything to go by. Transfers happen last day for two reasons I think. First, the club's want to be cute and tight arsed, and second players ego's. They prefer to get their name and pictures arriving at grounds on deadline day.

It is largely brinkmanship by the players, or more accurately their agents, holding out for a better club or a better deal. This then often has a domino effect as it delays the release of a player to another club and so on down the line.

Anyhow, I hope he doesn’t get sold, i’ve got a few more banjo/cow’s arse posts waiting in the wings. You are talking about the Director of Football that bought Ward, Liverpools 4th choice keeper with one average season under his belt for £12m. He also bought Ghazzel for £14m, a man who at the age of 26 has had one good six month spell in his career.
I thought he'd been improving of late and learnt his lessons the hard way, alas the previous two weeks seem to show he hasn't. Signing Silva 14 seconds late meaning he missed half a season, putting release clauses in loads of contracts because he thought he was playing Football Manager. The bloke is a trumped up youth team coach and seems to have zero knowledge or skill set when it comes to valuations and negotiations. Slimani had a £20m release clause at Sporting, we let that expire and then bid £30m a month later.
The bloke will absolutely pay £15m for 31 year old, Stoke reserve team player (not disrespect), because he doesn't have a sodding clue what he's doing. He's a disgrace and he'll get us relegated, but he's so far up the owners back side that they won't do anything about his failures.

What you could do with is a new CEO to put some new processes in place. I know just the man for the job!!

I think we might need a game of DoF Top Trumps.
And I'd be about a confident about that as I am about us winning on Saturday tbh.
Is 'Not a fookin Scooby' a mandatory on the CVs of these guys?

Can he spin a slice of Pizza on his finger like a basketball though, to the tune of Sweet Georgia Brown?
