Got laughed off the board for telling everyone that Paul. Interest has been there for around 4 weeks now. Main issue is wages surprise surprise, he’s still sat on 35k and they aren’t willing to match that. Stoke would sell at 10 million 100% 35k is peanuts to a Prem team, if he is on that.

The news is being greeted with a mixture of disbelief and resignation on the Leicester Message Board:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Oh christ not again. I thought we'd dodged that bullet 3 years ago.
I can't handle this any more.
Hopefully just old news. Now he is one that we have seen play and for me, despite the odd goal, is quite poor. We already have better options.
We've hit full on panic stations haven't we
Every day new names come up but its getting worse each time
So we are going for a player that even though his team are losing doesn't get any game time in the division below
George Boyd next
WTF Puel has he been on the pot?
WE HAVE GONE FULL PANIC MODE...ACTIVE SCLHUPPS BUY BACK CLAUSE THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE
This is hilarious
Literally a donkey, if we sign this cvnt I'm done, season ticket cut up into tiny pieces. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
And so it goes on for 3 more pages with not a single dissenting voice, its not going to happen, if it ever was, among that level of ridicule is it?

As long as we have a decent replacement lined up (right wing) I'd accept 8m.
If there's going to be no replacement then there's no point selling him.

We are bent over a barrel due to us not sanctioning deals before certain players go. Imbula, Cheapo, Adam, Diouf, Cameron. As I have said we are going to get shafted on Thursday for all of these, if we miss out on targets because of this GR will be even more pissed off than he already is. One LB will sign. Rest we are waiting but we could have missed the boat now.

We have had this deal for Ritchie all agreed and it appears now it’s Stoke who won’t sanction the deal first, as was presumed by the agents it was the other way round. He is looking ever likely to go to Boro for the Adama money and Newcastle won’t have signed a replacement before. Let that sink in. I called them out last night but the fact Cartwright and Scholes are still taking money out of this club is a disgrace.

I would have accepted:
£2M to Leicester + Diouf(!) just to get rid of him.

I'm sure there's a lot to this story, but it does seem odd to chase him most of the summer, allegedly get fed up and move (and pay good money) for Ince instead, if it was Stoke who were the ones unwilling to sanction a move? Obviously circumstances change, so perhaps they were hoping to have raised more cash since the Ince signing to fund the Ritchie move, which just hasn't happened and now they're stalling. Scholes being a disgrace is nothing new mate. Whatever credit he once had was used up a long time ago and he should have paid for the club's mismanagement with his job; we all know that. Hopefully Rowett will be banging on John Coates's door and going above Teflon's head. The balance of the squad still needs sorting.

Sorry but it obviously seems relegation one season may not be enough. Perhaps when a double relegation occurs it may trigger Mr Coates to either sacking or going himself. Re:Sunderland. It looks like fuck all is going to happen between now and Thursday. GR should be demanding control of the transfers asap or he will walk.

Let him go for 8 and then they can subsidise his wages.

Why am I not surprised we The Pizza Boys in charge. Joe Bryan would have been the perfect LB for our starting eleven Anytime we attack and the ball goes to Eric we just lose all momentum - Bryan would have been that fast LB we've been crying out for.

Both of those players for £6m and £3m respectively is a fucking snip. Surely after yesterdays fiasco heads will roll and deals will be sanctioned?!

We seriously cannot buy 3 or 4 players without anyone leaving. Our wage bill would be massive and our squad bloated to bursting point.

But surely he wouldn't have been on anywhere near that when he signed his new 3-yr deal last September? Mind you, who knows? Talk of us valuing him at £15m, negotiating tactic or not, and Leicester being in for him, has made me question everything!

Can I ask, how much of that is your opinion? I get you get some info etc but you assumed on the Ritchie deal and got it wrong, if you're assuming again with some of what you say it might be best to leave that to one side given that tensions seem to be running high it won't help anyone.

Badou, Imbula, Choupo, Adam, Diouf. What's your point? It's easy for us fans to reel off names of players we want rid of and also for the manager to do that. However, if there's no realistic takers for them then what can we do?
