Not really, he'd have been about the only striker we have that I'd keep. £10m, bang on your price tag

If we somehow get £10m for him, we desperately need to be spending that money. If we don't, you have my permission to string up Tony and co by the bollocks.

If Mama goes, we need two players to replace him with. One new winger and one new striker.

I read this a while back but have only just managed stop laughing , my sides hurt and i could not write due to tears running down my face ,that has cheered me up loads after yesterday . 15 million lol ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ,that's it i am crying again The point is if we let Diouf go and want to replace him we will need to fork out a lot more than £15M, if we want a goalscoring striker who can also play wide and will drop to rb if asked to and will run all over the pitch while his hollywood team mate throws up his hands for no good reason at all. And now you can go back to crying. Thats the point - goalscoring strikers dont get asked to fill in at RB or run all over the pitch. Diouf did because he is shit but a willing runner. Hollywood probably has his hands up in the air because every time he plays Diouf in he fucks it up. But he runs a lot, yeah...

More than likely it’ll go in the clubs coffers and we’ll get a loan as a replacement. Seems the club has never had a forward thinking strategy by the looks of it.

You can't fault his work rate, he is a true team player and a great athlete. I'm sure he is a decent guy to have around the squad too but if reports of £10-15m are correct then I see no reason to keep him. There are others I'd like to see us ship out before Mame but we should take the money whilst we can, spend that on a player who focuses on just one of the many positions Diouf can play and we'll be better off as a team because of it. If we don't replace him this transfer window then it's not the end of the world, we have a pretty big squad anyway.

He should probably be in our starting 11.
This story has to be a joke.

Edit: it was Bardsley who got himself sent off. So someone had to go there.

But the simple thing is we don't have a better striker than him and that includes the new man. Sell him if you wish, just be aware we're not going to get another player who will do what Diouf has done.

Leicester just sold Musa twenty minutes ago, so while I think they still have better options on their books, their desire to get Diouf off our hands will have increased,

Strikers that can't score are not in demand
Accept the first offer that comes in for him and just get him off the wage bill asap

There's a significant if not large portion of posters on here that a stuck in a seriously small time mentality.
Happy to pay way over the odds for any old championship striker, but when Stoke ask for over the odds for a Prem striker, It's all "NO! sell him for 4 million!"
I get told That's the going rate now for X player with an inflated price tag.
But when we actually get something right by bargaining, (I doubt he'll ACTUALLY go for 15M) But if we get 10-12 then it's an ok bit of business.)
You don't go in and say we want exactly 8 Million and I'm glad we're holding out demanding that. This deserves praise.
I get a bit handbaggy over transfer fees because it's all bonkers anyway, but seriously, If we're going to take it we ought to fucking well dish it out too. Some of you lot need to give your head a fucking wobble.

I would take it then push then we need to knock on Derbys door and sign him, if he would even come.
