I'm curious, how you can put such a figure on his head?!... He scores goals. Can play in a few positions. Works hard. He’s a good player. Have to take issue with most of that. He's forgotten how to score goals, he falls over more than any footballer I've ever seen and he's technically poor. Yeah, he works hard though. He's never worth £10m let alone the £15m we apparently want. Tony will have done an amazing job to rip Leicester off.

In the article it also mentions Amartey staying as a right back and Danny Simpson leaving instead. We can tick that on off then.

Btw, simply don't believe this....
Vardy Iheanacho Okazaki Slimani Ulloa
+ Maddison as AM
Gray and Albrighton for RAF
Only way it makes sense is if its a swap for Ulloa, as they now feel they need a bit more cover at RAF as well as 4 strikers (assuming they will shed one)

When we are desperate to clear a few out we start to play hardball with the price. Not the time, not the place to be doing that. Hes not worth more than 5 mill but his wages gone at present are worth a weight in gold. Three amigos strike again, when are they going to get something bloody right.

I'd be happy to see him gone like most of them and if he is worth £1m more than Afobe that explains a lot about Afobe yesterday which looked just about right .

A fair price.... emmm I don't know ... perhaps 6m, 8m at a push... but that would be very valuable nonetheless to reinvest in Vokes, say, or Ben Pearson. Instead put a silly price on his head and then we are lumbered with him and no further forward.

Not even Scholes and Co could be that stupid.

Fuck me, people moan their backsides off about the club selling top players for peanuts and when we reject what appears to be a very good fee for Mame Diouf... people moan their backsides off.
I give up.

Ihaenacho still has a lot to prove; a lot of the locals are quite surprised at how poor he's looked at times. With Vardy (31), Okazaki (32) and Diouf (30), they would certainly have an ageing strikeforce! I'd have thought they would prefer someone much younger.

I give up. But hes not a very good player, and playing hardball means he will probably be still here on Friday. Surely we have to take in context the time periods involved here? We need him gone with wages being the main factor here.

I give up. That’s a silly comment, Dave. This is a player that isn’t even making our first team that doesn’t look close to getting into our side. We want him off the wage bill to make way for someone of use in that position.

I'd go as low as £3m for him, he isn't going to play much this season. God knows why Leicester want him but we should take the money and run.

I hope the Leicester Pizza boys are not reading this. Stoke supporters TALKING DOWN a transfer fee !
Scholes and Co can’t have much of a bargaining position if Leic say “Hang on Tone. This is what your fans think. Forget the 15 mil, we are now offering 2.”

Would sell him for 8 million. Seriously? £12m seems to be about the benchmark for a Prem striker; anything around that then I think we should accept, especially if we see him as a bit-part player. It looks like Afobe, Bojan, Crouch and maybe even Berahino are ahead of him in the pecking order here. Yes but he’s a Championship striker (at best) 😜

Last season we created 1-2 good chances a game, even the best of finishers would struggle to consistently score goals.
We have far bigger issues than Mame Diouf.

It seems that most folks on here would happily see us spend good cash - say £12-15m, maybe even more - on Dwight Gayle. Diouf has near enough the exact same stats as him from last season - 6 goals in 35 appearances. We also know that Diouf can cover the wing (and even RB!) whereas Gayle doesn't really have that flexibility. I'm not saying I think Diouf is worth £15m personally, but saying he's only worth £5m seems way off the mark to me.

We really are clueless I’m all for negotiation but ours is daft
750k for a intl LB 26 yo 15m for a non scoring 30 yo striker
The time for messing around has gone

In today’s market mate, given his contract length, experience, a full international for quite a high profile nation who has just played at the WC and a player who was part of every premiership squad when fit in a variety of positions who never complains and does/gives everything asked ....I’d say £12-15m
