We have to play a 4231 its the only formation that suits the squad at the moment. I'd agree but the squad still doesn't suit it without a DM, how we haven't brought one in over the last few years with 3 different managers in charge is baffling.

"an attacking player also remains top of his hit-list before Thursday’s transfer deadline" say the Sentinel. "I'm not going to be playing with a conventional number 10 because everything then goes through them and when they have an off day, the whole team does" - Rowett last Monday. So does he throw out what a summer of pondering, and 5 weeks of planning, has led him to, to accommodate Bojan after that horror show? Or does it maybe prompt a realisation that he needs to buy someone in to play that role and get closer to the hung out to dry Afobe? Someone like Vydra? Whatever he decides, he's got some massive calls to make on the midfield balance. He's obviously got a hell of a big week coming up. Can't say I envy him with this particular mix of unbalanced undroppables and high expectations That quote shows what a poor manager he is. Who actually comes out with crap like that!? He's garbage mate. He's going to get totally found out in the coming weeks. Unfortunately to our detriment.

To not have a single proper option at 10 other than Ince inside all season is very short sighted. It seems to me he has been thinking Ritchie Ince McClean Afobe All window if Ritchie doesn't land he's fooked.

He looked like he couldn't jump above two inches off the ground!

Would be farcical to let him go after witnessing the majority of the Leeds debacle

That’s bs he’s going no where this late in the window It’s not late with loans possible until the end of the month. Also, the GR comment a while back about he and Bojan being really honest about the future did point me towards a possible departure if he wanted a move abroad. Hopefully last Sunday changed a few minds...

It'd be a surprise if they were interested, but noteworthy it's in a Barcelona-based paper.

I certainly think we need a #10 to support the isolated striker and BoJan would appear to be the closest we have to someone who can play that position.....the other alternatives being Ince or Allen I guess?

He looked sharp in training today I agree. I think GR has massive balls if he waves goodbye to a crowds favourite this early in his tenure, he'll be putting himself under huge pressure.

We'd be absolutely mad to let him go after the start of this season and not even entertaining getting him back in January.

We'd be absolutely mad to let him go after the start of this season and not even entertaining getting him back in January. If it was a cash offer of a permanent purchase which Rowett thought was a good deal for us, then I can see it but if its just another loan, then we might as well see what he does (if called on) in the next three games before letting him go on loan in the last week of August, if needs be.

He looked bright when he came on, be a shame not to give him a go but he doesn't really fit into a 4-3-3 if we are going to continue to try that...

I think any departure of Bojan will send out a firm sign regarding our ongoing commitment to create absolutely fuck all from open play.

He looked sharp in training today He looked sharp on Sunday as well. He looked sharp in pre season too. Can see why there are doubts about him, can't see why he shouldn't play Saturday.

He looked sharp on Sunday as well. He looked sharp in pre season too. Can see why there are doubts about him, can't see why he shouldn't play Saturday. We showed throughout last season, through this pre-season and in 90 minutes v Leeds that beyond whacking the ball up to Crouch we have ZERO creativity in what was supposed to be our strongest 11. For me, Bojan has to play on Saturday given his brief, yet positive, showing on Sunday. He has something different to every other player we have and we'd be crazy not to at least try to utilise his qualities.

Sadly, I suspect that Rowett is hugely suspicious/untrusting of talented footballers and the chances of seeing Bojan start on Saturday are slim to none. I expect the only changes will be BMI out for Williams and maybe someone coming in up front for the less than fully fit Afobe...unless of course Badou is sold then we'll probably see Fletcher in alongside Allen and Etebo as the 3rd change

Your right he has something different - he isnt complete and utter dogshit, sunday was embarrassing
He is the one player in the squad if played in the correct position will unlock defences - but no, people will be glad to see the back of Bojan so we can trust to the silky skills of the 15 million quid wonder player Diouf
Are people making the decisions down there on acid or something?
