Bojan looked sharp. One of very very few positives

We looked better when Bojan came on today but let’s face it we could have done a prize draw from the away following and they would have looked better. As much as he’s a fan favourite he’s been awful for 2 years. However rowett should have clearly seen we need someone to play off afobe and link the play, I think Vydra signs this week

Allen was poor today.....first touch was appalling. Haven't seen the game but why does this not surprise me

He should have played him from the start. He's actively looking for another striking option. Other options today were utter dog shit. He still came in before Crouch and Diouf. It was your assessment that Rowett is racist which was baseless. I think Rowett is a racist? Fuck yourself off.

Bojan looked like he new where space was, the rest looked out of depth with a man on. We still don’t take players on , or slow opponents attacks by closing space. Only Bojan was effective in moving into space and finding channels. I’d drop Allen back with Etebo and have Bojan up top with Afobe.

Put it this way - Bielsa would definitely play him and most likely build the team around him, he’s at a far higher potential than 99% of the players he’ll come up against this season despite his seemingly poor form for 2yrs I hope Rowett is a good motivator as the team at the moment look in a worse place than under Hughes in January. It could be a very long season...

Bojan doesn't want to play for us, stop being stupid everyone.
In fact he doesn't want to play for anyone.
He is suffering from a mental illness in my opinion.
What a joke it was, second half free kick in shooting distance. Bojan & McClean standing over the ball & McClean takes it. They can't even let poor Bojan take a bloody free kick. He must be walking around in a haze, wondering why as one of, on his day, with motivation the most talented players he's surrounded by such crap.

He can control a ball. He can pass 1 through ball in yesterdays game and it came from Bojan.
He must start.

Why he’s been shit for 3 yrs 🙄 And was the only positive (apart from Mclean) that came out of the game yesterday. He has been passed from pillar to post since his recovery from injury. Give the guy a break, put an arm round him, give him some confidence and we still have one hell of a player on our hands

Little magician, hope he stays and plays regularly. There is still a top player in there but it all depends on how he adapts to the championship.

"an attacking player also remains top of his hit-list before Thursday’s transfer deadline" say the Sentinel. "I'm not going to be playing with a conventional number 10 because everything then goes through them and when they have an off day, the whole team does" - Rowett last Monday. So does he throw out what a summer of pondering, and 5 weeks of planning, has led him to, to accommodate Bojan after that horror show? Or does it maybe prompt a realisation that he needs to buy someone in to play that role and get closer to the hung out to dry Afobe? Someone like Vydra? Whatever he decides, he's got some massive calls to make on the midfield balance. He's obviously got a hell of a big week coming up. Can't say I envy him with this particular mix of unbalanced undroppables and high expectations I didn’t get this quote at the time and I still don’t. The conflation he’s making is that Shaq was the only decent attacking player we had, so of course he didn’t play well the team wouldn’t. When you have a good front three - like we did with Shaq, Bojan and Arnie - you will always create problems.

Allen was poor today.....first touch was appalling. There was no shortage of appalling touches throughout our lot. Leeds were stringing seven or eight passes together, finding their man almost every time they passed, while we couldn't string three passes together. We were bloody awful all round.

I think he has to be given a start next week unless a better player comes in , just not sure he can still do it , when he was at his best he was great playing off Crouch , perfect really for the knock downs and flick ons , there was a time yesterday when Crouch won a ball and Bojan was five yards off him way too deep Crouch had to tell him to keep up with play and he is 10 years older , having said that he still is certainly better on one leg than most of them on two were yesterday ,

Said it for ages, got to be given a run in the team.An under par Bojan is still far better than anything we have in the squad. And as for this "not strong enough for the Championship" rubbish, lets give him a go and find out. Wolves sailed through this league last season and there side wasn't full of 18 stone,6'5" bruisers.

Bojan should play the majority of matches for us, but a problem facing him and the manager is that there players in our team that don't understand his way of playing. McClean and Ince for sure don't. And what was McClean thinking taking Bojan's free kick. I mean that was straight out of the Jese school... Must be plenty of managers and players that don't understand his way of playing so, he's been (recently) crap for us, crap for Mainz, and crap for Alvase. Don't think he's the panacea for our ills.

Thought we played a good 20/30yds higher up the pitch when he came on, Crouchy contributed to that when introduced also.

Not sure about that. The Alaves manager - before he gpt sacked - was allegedly a personal Bojan fan. Don't think he was crap for us yesterday. I thought he offered a glimmer of hope in his few moments, but once Crouch came on we might as well have taken Bojan off again, so foreign is their individual styles.

We have to play a 4231 its the only formation that suits the squad at the moment.

My thoughts exactly. That was pretty narrow minded reasoning for no number 10. Imagine Waddo saying that regaring Huddy...

He's played 75 times in 5 years - 15 games a season He might play. He might do well sometimes But surely, the most we can do is hope he is available for 1 game in 3 to make a cameo appearance, or play a specialist role?
He can't be part of the main cast this season.

Didn't play amazingly when he came on tbh, but if it means we lose the 4-3-3 its going to have to happen.

It kind of makes sense as a lot of the play would have to go through them, but he should be finding a number 10 he trusts to play well on a regular basis rather than abandoning it all together.

Pretty much every Derby fan's view on Rowett's football was that it was exceedingly negative and completely void of flair. Further indicated by the fact Choupo Moting didn't even make the bench today. I fear we won't see much of Bojan, especially since Allen will never be dropped. Moting wasn't in the squad because it seems he's being an utter dick about staying, it was the right call.
