Three cheers for Berahino. After a significant period of time where he has completely disrespected two different football clubs (employers paying him a good salary) and their supporters (whilst not forgetting his contribution to our relegation) he’s had a lightbulb moment. We could all sing a Saido song if his actions turn out to be better than his words. How about the Boothen roaring him on with “For he’s a jolly good fellow”

To get the fans warming to him,he needs to score 15+ goals this coming season,if he carries on the way he`s been doing since signing,it could get very toxic for for him.

At least he is now making the right sounds, but let's see what it means on the pitch first!

All preseason games ive read about so far mentions him and Bojan playing quite a bit of nice football.
Not saying he will do anything this season but i guess we have to have a slither of hope.

Repugnant Berahino, Recalcitrant Berahino, Resplendent Berahino...which will it be?
Who knows but, goodness me, he needs a goal doesn't he!

I don’t get this he needs to score goals things to prove himself malarkey it’s what he’s paid to do obviously but he’s shit at doing it and to put it bluntly he’s unable to do it whatever league he’s in
Amazing if we’re pinning our hopes on him coming good for us as never in a million years will this waste of space come good

Are we truly going to be relying on him to score the goals needed for a promotion push ?

He shouldn't play for us again. Makes us be mugs if we do. Takes years wages & does fuck all. So we gonna reward his lazy disgraceful behaviour & say it's ok. Can't believe there willl be supporters cheering his name. Second chance, he's already had 6. Time to stop shaming the club further. This is why we got relegated. Lack of training but lot of squad & you can't blame them thinking, 'well if he's getting away with it, I will too'

18 months of being paid handsomely by us and a further 12-18 months of doing nothing at West Brom. From 5k romps with women of the night to being banned from playing the sport. Why now? Why not last year when we needed him? I hope he turns out to be gold but going on his last 3 seasons he’s done with and will struggle to get another contract when this one runs out.

Why are we even playing him? I thought we wanted to be dead certs for promotion. How do we do that by playing a striker who hasn't scored for years and who despises the club?
Is it me being stupid? Please someone, tell me what I'm missing here.

The words are there but that's not unusual, it's the actions that will be the proof of the pudding. Regardless of what he says we need to get in another striker as Berahinho has proved himself to be extremely unreliable and totally toothless so far.

He's had chance after chance and it's a disgrace he's even going to be involved in the first team.

Please someone, tell me what I'm missing here. While he's on the books and we're paying him mega bucks, it makes sense to try to get him performing to the level he's performed at previously. If he doesn't get to that level again then he won't get games. We're in a position with him where there's nothing to lose by trying. It'd be stupid not to. If Phillips thinks there's something to work with, then let's see what he can do.

We are not in such a position at all, unless it's true that we are aiming for mid table. Of course we are. What else are we going to do with him? Play him in the reserves, rather than letting him mess up our promotion push. Unless, as I have long suspected, the club's owners do not want promotion as life in the Prem is simply too expensive to sustain. It's a lot, lot cheaper to run a mid table Championship side.

Also, "what else are we going to do with him" is not a basis for a push for promotion. Not even slightly.
