Deadly combo ? Could Superkev re-ignite Berahinios drive and desire ? Motivate him to be the marksman he once was? Even as deadly as superkev himself ??? I'd love to think so! (Masterstroke by Rowett -dare to dream ?)

Only time will tell
We can only go by the managers judgement
As long as it is his judgement and not been pushed by his superiors

Needs to! I think we all want to see him start scoring. He will be let go in Jan otherwise. I assume transfer markets functioning hasn't been changed at all?

Get Jordan Pickford in.
He’s about the only thing that could save Berahino’s career.

I'm not sure the original and existing problems were coaching related were they?
I'm an interested and intrigued onlooker.

I hope he can, but the issues with Saido have never been his technical ability. It’s all about his motivation and attitude.
Only person who can can truly turn those issues around is Saido himself.

I'm not sure his problems are all about attitude. To me it looked like he was suffering the equivalent of writer's block. It was like he'd forgotten what to do. Whether that's something that can be unlocked by anyone other than himself is another matter, but he certainly looked like he needed help and I'm not sure he was getting it from anyone last season.

Philips said something along the lines of (and this is not a quote).... "the key of being a good striker isn't necessarily being a good player, it's more down to instinct....knowing where to be at the right time!!!
Sorry Saido!!!

Just like to make the point that you can't motivate anyone you can only create the environment in which they can become motivated. So let's hope for a bit of luck with that one.

I'm torn on Saido. I really want him to do well. He's our player. Him doing well would only benefit Stoke. But he fortunate is he, as a man that's come from nothing, given the world of riches, only to get fat when he's a professional athlete.
Why should he be given chances time and time again when he's given absolutely fuck all to our plight? Pity should be reserved for thr likes of Wilko, a true servant of thr club thwt had his career cut short whilst representing Stole.

Wilko will be rich beyond most of our wildest dreams I'd imagine - not begrudging him any of it by the way. With Saido, the point is that we'll be paying him whether he plays or not, so if we can find a way to get a tune out of him then that can only benefit us.

You're pushing on an open door here Rob. If the lad can't be arsed then obviously he's beyond help. I just think there's something else going on. Can't prove it, might be talking out of my backside. But I've seen players in the past who looked like they weren't giving everything, but they still looked like footballers. Berahino just looked lost to me, like he'd forgotten where to run or what to do.

Will someone pls give us a few names of strikers who have previously gone 2 seasons without scoring, shown an abject attitude, and been turned around into a decent player again? (For any team, in any league. going back 10-20 years ... in fact, ever....)
(Otherwise i'm prone to believe that any hope that SB is turned into anything other than compost is a delusion seldom previously seen amonst football fans from any club... in any league... ever...)
