As a matter of interest 'Old Crappy Boy' when did you last see him play? Personally I haven't seen him play for a year so I have no real opinion on him but since the club extended his contract they must hold him in high regard. Perhaps, just perhaps, Andy Quy knows more about goalkeeping than you?
That wouldn't be difficult as I know very little about coaching goalkeepers, on the other hand I can tell if a keeper is decent reading some of the remarks from Wigan fans it seems he has not overly improved from the pile of wank he was for us before he went on loan, I could be wrong maybe we should revisit this after his first few games for us next season. I am not necessarily saying that you are wrong. My point is that I think it is unfair to judge someone based on performances from 2 years ago. At that time our whole team was playing poorly and the back four gave him no protection at all. I know he didn't do well at Wigan but even that was the season before last so there is at least a slim possibility that he might have improved. If he hasn't then it seems inexplicable that the club would have renewed his contract. Perhaps we might be able to judge more if we see him in action pre-season.

Just had a horrible thought...... Haugaard. Second choice. Fuck. His slate with Rowett is clean, same as everybody. Unless Haugard uses his freedom of contract to go somewhere else.

Bet he gets loaned back to us with Butland going the other way permanent as part of the deal. De Gea then gets sold on.

Haugaard our No2 fucking hell's teeth. As a matter of interest 'Old Crappy Boy' when did you last see him play? And, don't forget, Haugard was brought here on Sorensen's recommendation. So that's two experienced goalies that saw something in him,

I'm going to throw out a name that English people may be unfamiliar with. Zack Steffen, a young American playing in the MLS. Watch his recent game against the French first team and you'll see why. Not sure about the work permit rules - can someone explain?

Not sure about the work permit rules - can someone explain? Basically.. if he’s foreign and needs a work permit.. he can have one. ...unless he’s signing for Stoke City.

Genuinely happy for Lee Grant here, he gets a final pay day and the opportunity to be at one of the best clubs in the world. Always seems a genuinely nice guy when he’s interviewed.

We do look after out players - some times too much I really hope we have full plans in place to cover goalkeepers for this season

He was reportedly unhappy last season about lack of first team opportunity that he was given. Now I'm sure that he'll get paid more as Manchester United's third choice than as Stoke's second - however I would have thought his chances for game time will decrease exponentially.

With all this talk of a free transfer I wonder if we have a youngster coming the other way or something. He signed a 2 1/2 year contract in January 2017 so surely we’d be after something in return from the Shit? Or are we going to be the club that ‘looks after it’s players in the right way’ and just tear up his contract?

No grace period, nothing. Always felt like a real shitty thing to do to me.

Fair play to him, can't really stand in his way. I hope he gets paid a chunk. Been an absolutely outstanding keeper when fetched on for us. I'd have been happy going into this season with him as number one. All the best to him.

Maybe they'll offer us a pre season friendly 2x weeks in from the start of the new season again in exchange for Grant! What was all that about?!
