This is every bit as nuts as the Crouch to Chelsea story last season, Man United wouldn't be a jot bit interested, it's not happening.

Not bad being a pro goal keeper is it, even when you're past your best, if at some point you've made a bit of a name for yourself and can still be bothered to train you can become third choice somewhere and just rake in the easy money

Hard to believe.
Haugard as no1? Fuck no

Might sound bizarre, but this makes it seem as though JB is staying???
No way Haugard is first choice
Or, we’ve already nailed another keeper

I think it just might happen. Liverpool fans are taking the piss on twitter about it but they have karius in there goal now that's a piss take remember the champion league final. grant in goal for them might just have kept the score down

Jakob Haugaard still being at the club bemuses me so I can't begin to comprehend the thought of him actually starting a game for us.

He's clearly a very serviceable Championship No.2 keeper.
And he's under contract for this season.
Can't really see it being his dream to see out his career as the non-playing No.3 keeper at a giant club, although the pull of being contracted to Man Utd must be pretty big.
Have Man Utd basically said they'll only buy him on a free, rather than for his market value of, what, £500k?
If they want him and value the intangibles he'd bring to the minor role of No.3 keeper, surely he's worth that to a club with a turnover of £600m-a-year?
Have we agreed to that as a gesture of goodwill so he can get the move? Or are we getting recompensed in another way?

Happy for him tbh. To go from Derby reserves, have a couple of seasons in prem and then to one of the world's biggest clubs in fantastic.

All very strange, I know we have a good reputation for looking after players but surely there must be something in this for us?

Bizarre one is this. Surely Butland is staying then or are we hoping to sign two goalkeepers?
Can’t really stand in Grants way.

Butland staying then with a new number 2 being brought in. Has to be. Grant would stay here as number 1 so clearly he's been told Butland's staying

Not convinced.

Surely we're getting one of there's on loan then? Pereira/Johnstone? Isnt the lad Henderson highly rated? He was on loan at Shrewsbury last season.

If Haugaard is anywhere near number 1 next season we will be relegated, so I hope he's looking to bring somebody in.

I'd say this is closer to the mark. He's been told Butland is going and we're bringing in a new No. 1 Or he's been told Butland is staying? Not sure anyone can 100% say that really though at this stage can they? Whether Butland stays or goes is really irrelevant to this particular transfer.

Just thought Grant may have been told that regardless of what happens with Butland, he won't be number 1.

I feel at the very least, Grant would have made an excellent number 2 in the Championship. Indeed I would have been happy with him at number 1.
Tell me Rowett knows what he's doing? I always get nervous when we get rid before getting in an obvious and adequate replacement. If we are keeping Butland, does that mean JH is no. 2?
The process still doesn't fill me with confidence.
