Paul Cook is starting to look an outstanding candidate in that list and gets my vote. Do you think we're currently attractive enough to tempt him though?

I don't think we could get someone like Jokanovic (although I think we could in January) - but if we can't poach the Wigan manager coming off 10 years in the Prem, it's time to give up

Jesus wept there are some bullets to dodge there. I wouldn't hate adding Ryan to that list of options as Player/Manager - don't know how he'd be tactically while he does his badges but we'd get our guts and identity back without a doubt.

I read he's going to be the Man City u18 coach. If a Lampard came can't see him sticking around, a Cook much more likely to.

Where's Marco Silva his star was shining enough for Everton. I'd think he'd be good in the Championship.

If he becomes available then Allardyce, very unfashionable but would suit stoke down to the ground, lets face it we're an unfashionable club, now is not the time for fancy experimentation, go with tried and trusted, not only is he capable of getting us up but capable of keeping us there.

If Lambert goes (i don't think he will) then the next appointment will be absolutely crucial, get it wrong and have a bad start to next season and we could be in in for a long few years in the championship, or worse! I don't think this is the time for the likes of Graham Potter or even QSF, we need a solid appointment, Big Sam is the man, he's the type of manager coates would have no compunction getting behind, he's basically a slightly more exotic Tony Pulis in a fat suit Everton are 8th in the league and their fans are moaning their bags off about him despite hovering over relegation before he took over, i know its all about expectations but we'd kill to be finishing 8th right now! when newcastle sacked him i believe they were also 8th in the premiership, they got relegated after sacking him, love or hate him the bloke knows what he's doing.

If we just wanted to get out of the league quick, we would do well to snap up Mad Mick.
It would be a very short term solution, though, and he's not the best at PL level.

If Allardyce was available and prepared to come, doubtful Coates would look elsewhere. And I can't see him being there next season unless they want riots. Just a bit sceptical whether he'll need the hassle of another job at a club like ours when the option of retiring to a Portuguese beach is available?

QSF: Would be a solid choice for a Championship club but I think he sees himself a level above.
Graham Potter: Someone has to take a gamble on him in England soon and he obviously knows how to win, his tactical nous against Arsenal should be noted. It really is a gamble though.
Paul Cook: His teams finishing consistently high up the league tables suggest he is on to something. He reminds me of Paul Jewell, better in the lower leagues. Not for us though imo.
Sam Allardyce: He will have every right to feel aggrieved given the England farce and the fact he's done well for Everton. I think he will quit football if he's sacked.
Slaven Bilic: Needs to prove himself again, could be ideal. Would get us winning (he's won nearly half of all games he's ever managed!) and he's my best bet for a first time promotion. I think he is the best manager we can appoint from this list.
Tony Pulis: Will be looking to finish with automatic promotion next season at the Boro if they don't do the playoffs this year, and I think he will love the chance to go against us tbh.
I've only gone through the ones I think are realistic for us. No mention of David Moyes either, do we think he's out of bounds should he leave West Ham? Claude Puel will most likely be sacked from Leicester too.

All very well in creating polls. We need to create some form of protest calling for the board to sack Lambert because it would seem they are happy to keep him. Disaster looms with this man in charge.

A Year plus back room staff plus transfer budget plus control . , all doable given our resources but do we have the appetite or more relevantly the ceo to pull off such a deal , be worth thinking about a creative approach around board room seat and value creation as he’s a man of considerable ego and fed up of what he sees as weak owners . hed by 100% my choice but I’ve said that for months .

Cannot believe I haven't heard about this chap before though, mate - his record is nothing short of outstanding.
