2-0, 5-0, or 10-0. Man city, or no Man city. Todays performance has been Shambolic - & Lambert has to take the flack for this. Its clear he is not a premier league standard of manager, i didn't want him here originally, i supported him the second he was in charge but tonights performance has done it for me, and i will happily apologise to everyone i doubted, Lambert simply does not have a clue.
I get man city are probably one of the best in the world, but to set up this way and continue with the same players we've seen for the past few weeks has no excuse.
- Jese starting up front, on his own. We win the ball and it goes straight back to them, he's not the player we need up front on his own, especially against man city. Crouch looked much better when coming on, when the game was out of sight at 2-0.
- Choupo-Moting is an absolutely disgrace to wear the red and white shirt. WHAT DOES LAMBERT SEE IN HIM? No effort, no commitment and not interested, once again, for about the 7th game in a row.
- Seeing charlie Adam and Glen Johnson on the bench makes me depressed. No Affa, no Ireland, no Campbell... Ireland is not injured. Him and lambert obviously still have a grudge from years ago at villa.
- Indi has had the worst performance i've seen in a stoke shirt.
- Staffy Not good enough and can't track his men, not a clue where his position is and totally out of his depth.
-Ramadan given 3 minutes, its laughable.
We are sat back with 11 men behind the ball, but we are sat so deep they are just passing the ball across the half way line and making us look like a fucking joke and have turned it into a training game, there not even out of first gear. They've taken the piss out of us. We went 1-0 down and the same shit continued with the game being virtually over. We will go down on goal difference now anyway, we need the points at least put up some fight. We have just turned up to lose. What is the point.
I'm embarrassed tonight & the championship beckons.

Sorry but it's not necessary. Man City have given almost every team a kicking. You simply cannot judge the team or performance on that. The fact we kepy it at 2-0 means not all is lost for me.

Man City are light years ahead of the 2nd best in the league.

Given the goings on at West Ham and Soton we still have a chance. We just have to scrape some points together from somewhere. We are in a stronger position than those two sides. Keep believing.

The difference in attitudes is what really sticks in my throat, right up until going onto 90 minutes, Man City players knocking it about like they've got all the time in the world, our players are literally stood still until the crowd dictate to wake the fuck up.
Relegation writen all over us. We fucking stink of it.

The result was acceptable but you hope to see a little bit of something to inspire you
Shaq did well in the first half and I thought Bauer did well - Bruno battle manfully
Otherwise we looked woeful against admittedly the best team in Europe

Depressing is what that game was.
We are not good enough to be in this league and that is clear to even Peter Coates tonight.
I don't care how good Man City are ...and they are good. To not even manage one shot at home says we are in the wrong league.
It is not for the likes of us to try to compete with them, that dubious honour needs to go to Man U, Spurs, Chelsea and even Arsenal(when the boring git goes) but if they don't then this league will become as crap as the Spanish one or even worse the Scottish.
Money has ruined our game, we all know it but you can't eat at the Ritz when you only have chip shop money.
Shove up Vale here we come.

How the fuck are we in a stronger position than either of them? They both have more points on the board and a better goal difference. I’m not writing us off, and there is a chance we can finish above them both, but they’re clearly both in a better position than us right now.

It was frustrating. I'm not sure even if we'd had a go that we'd get a result but we rolled over once the first goal was conceded. It was so, so easy for them. They looked like they had 5 more players than us they were that much in command. I thought defensively we did OK but to offer no threat whatsoever in a home game whoever it was against was pretty poor. I just hope that after this we try to start winning games now. My biggest gripe is that we have a midfield 3 who just aren't creative in any way. 3 poor technical players who chase the ball well but don't do anything with it. We have to give Ireland a go if he's fit. right now we're playing to not lose rather than win.

Fair enough. I agree to an extent, but would rather have the points right now, since I just don’t see us scoring the goals we need to carve out any wins to make up the difference. I can see it turning almost as toxic as West Ham if we don’t see some improvement against Everton. The crowd tonight just seemed completely apathetic, which is almost as bad.
