If the choices are get hammered 7-2 and "try". Or defend like crazy and hope for a lucky break, but get beaten 2-0, in our circumstances for the reasons i've already mentioned, I'd go for the 2-0 every day of the week. Yep 100% with you there let not try just give up before a balls kicked it's all too hard. Yep 0-2 every week sounds ace although I'm not sure we would win the league. We don't play ManC every week you gimp.

Are Bollocks those brown lumps in there? This reminds me of "there's a hole in my bucket, dear Lisa, a hole" Given our circumstances, if it's a choice between being hammered 7-2 or defending like crazy hoping for a lucky break and being beaten 2-0, I'd take the 2-0 every day of the week. A hammering would further demoralize the team and encourage our peers. We are still in touch and still have to play at least 2 teams who are going to be in the mix at the end.

If Lambert continues with the awful strange selections, one being to start Choupo instead of Ramadan, this Saturday particularly, the fans will turn.
Don't give me this support shit, generally, since Lambert started everyone has supported him. But if he cant see the obvious, its time to pack it in and return to scotland

It just shows when he had his interview and said he knew everything about the club and knew the faults it was utter bullshit. it must of been the same tripe he spouted to the owners when he took the job. Yes he has sorted the defense, and hes done a good job, but his squad selection, and formations, are no better than what Hughes did.

2-0, 5-0, or 10-0. Man city, or no Man city. Todays performance has been Shambolic - & Lambert has to take the flack for this. Its clear he is not a premier league standard of manager, i didn't want him here originally, i supported him the second he was in charge but tonights performance has done it for me, and i will happily apologise to everyone i doubted, Lambert simply does not have a clue. I get man city are probably one of the best in the world, but to set up this way and continue with the same players we've seen for the past few weeks has no excuse. - Jese starting up front, on his own. We win the ball and it goes straight back to them, he's not the player we need up front on his own, especially against man city. Crouch looked much better when coming on, when the game was out of sight at 2-0. - Choupo-Moting is an absolutely disgrace to wear the red and white shirt. WHAT DOES LAMBERT SEE IN HIM? No effort, no commitment and not interested, once again, for about the 7th game in a row. - Seeing charlie Adam and Glen Johnson on the bench makes me depressed. No Affa, no Ireland, no Campbell... Ireland is not injured. Him and lambert obviously still have a grudge from years ago at villa. - Indi has had the worst performance i've seen in a stoke shirt. - Staffy Not good enough and can't track his men, not a clue where his position is and totally out of his depth. -Ramadan given 3 minutes, its laughable. We are sat back with 11 men behind the ball, but we are sat so deep they are just passing the ball across the half way line and making us look like a fucking joke and have turned it into a training game, there not even out of first gear. They've taken the piss out of us. We went 1-0 down and the same shit continued with the game being virtually over. We will go down on goal difference now anyway, we need the points at least put up some fight. We have just turned up to lose. What is the point. I'm embarrassed tonight & the championship beckons. What a very naive post! You obviously haven't seen Man City play very often. This season has seen them regularly dominate possession against all teams in the league. I really cannot understand what you expected from Stoke the other night? Lambert was not my first choice but it is very unfair for you to be so critical. Contrary to you I saw a team of players who were well organised who worked extremely hard, when they didn't have possession to prevent Man City from scoring. I believe that against less able teams that we have a chance to acquire points and while that can happen we still have an outside chance of maintaining our status. My belief is that too many passionate Stoke supporters are totally unable to deal with disappointment and failure and they throw their dummies out of the pram attacking the very thing that they love. I can understand the anger but now is not the time to vent it. We have eight games to play and ten points from them is not unrealistic!

It is very clear you have not read my post properly at all. If you have read my post properly, it says the scoreline would not matter, neither would it that they dominated us for the majority of the game. This is understandable, and they have done it to most teams in the league. The problem i had, which you obviously find quite difficult to grasp, is the way we let them walk all over us. Let me take you back to Monday - i cant remember the minute, but in the second half, on the half way line, man city had 2 players make about 15 passes back and fourth, without a single stoke player making an effort to press them, let alone challenge them. This resulted in "olays" from the Man City supporters as they were absolutely taking the piss. This was not in their own 18 yards box, this was on the half way line. Certain members of the team did not work hard at all, i don't need to keep mentioning names, we all know who they are. We went out there to lose by a small margin. Lambert wasn't interested in even picking up a point off them or even give it a go. If it stays like this, we will go down. We need points. Goal difference wont affect us, its already miles off the pace of anyone else's. Why not just for even a 15 minute spell, throw the kitchen sink at it? We have absolutely nothing to lose. As for your happy clapper sentence about "now is not the time to vent the frustration" blah blah blah, you're half the reason why we are in the mess. We could see shit hitting the fan 18 months ago and i bet you had the same response. "Its not the time to vent your frustration". WELL WHEN IS? When were in the league below?

Given what I've seen on the pitch i think that the present squad would struggle in the Championship.
If we go down i can see us having another relegation battle next season
The lower leagues are riddled with clubs that once had premiership/first division status

I've stated a valid point and you have no answer You use the word "shambolic" to describe Stoke's performance as a team! This is where I switched off. A clearly stupid comment as Butland was not overworked and we only conceded just two very well and clinically constructed goals. Choupo certainly wasn't as bad as you painted him and was clearly one of the only forward players who tried to hold the ball for any amount of time. He also won many of his heading duals. Man City are a world class team with pace and technical ability in every department. Joe Allen's performance was superb. What a gutsy hard working player! When you go two goals down against a team like this with thirty minutes to play it becomes extremely easy to end up losing six. Contrary to your perspective I saw a little bit of hope for our games against Everton, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Swansea and West Ham and as a consequence believe your comments or should I say your capitulation trite!!!

Butland was put to most trouble by his own players otherwise he only did what any goalkeeper is expected to do! There were no really difficult saves he had to make. Sorry I can remember errors that were not punished but only perhaps two and one of them was foiled by good defensive work from NDiaye. We were not a shambles at the back at all. All four gave everything they have got but were stretched by the brilliant Man City offensive play. Not many other teams will test us so severely.
