Adam, Fletcher and Johnson on the bench is an absolute embarrassment after 10 years 3 players who should be nowhere near any premier league team, Yes Mark and his team really have screwed us over BIG TIME! The likes of Cartwright have being equally as damaging, if we go down the club can only blame it's self

We just got pasted by the best team on the planet. We all knew that was likely to happen and in the end it was damage limitation. However much hope we carried into the stadium this evening we were quickly exposed to reality; they had miles more pace & skill than Stoke had to offer.
The Stoke players mostly put a shift in within the limits of their capabilities while the crowd just accepted the inevitable, and quietly froze to the bone.
Saturday against Everton needs to be a different story. Only a win will do.

2-0, 5-0, or 10-0. Man city, or no Man city. Todays performance has been Shambolic - & Lambert has to take the flack for this. Its clear he is not a premier league standard of manager, i didn't want him here originally, i supported him the second he was in charge but tonights performance has done it for me, and i will happily apologise to everyone i doubted, Lambert simply does not have a clue. I get man city are probably one of the best in the world, but to set up this way and continue with the same players we've seen for the past few weeks has no excuse. - Jese starting up front, on his own. We win the ball and it goes straight back to them, he's not the player we need up front on his own, especially against man city. Crouch looked much better when coming on, when the game was out of sight at 2-0. - Choupo-Moting is an absolutely disgrace to wear the red and white shirt. WHAT DOES LAMBERT SEE IN HIM? No effort, no commitment and not interested, once again, for about the 7th game in a row. - Seeing charlie Adam and Glen Johnson on the bench makes me depressed. No Affa, no Ireland, no Campbell... Ireland is not injured. Him and lambert obviously still have a grudge from years ago at villa. - Indi has had the worst performance i've seen in a stoke shirt. - Staffy Not good enough and can't track his men, not a clue where his position is and totally out of his depth. -Ramadan given 3 minutes, its laughable. We are sat back with 11 men behind the ball, but we are sat so deep they are just passing the ball across the half way line and making us look like a fucking joke and have turned it into a training game, there not even out of first gear. They've taken the piss out of us. We went 1-0 down and the same shit continued with the game being virtually over. We will go down on goal difference now anyway, we need the points at least put up some fight. We have just turned up to lose. What is the point. I'm embarrassed tonight & the championship beckons.

Depressing is what that game was. We are not good enough to be in this league and that is clear to even Peter Coates tonight. I don't care how good Man City are ...and they are good. To not even manage one shot at home says we are in the wrong league. It is not for the likes of us to try to compete with them, that dubious honour needs to go to Man U, Spurs, Chelsea and even Arsenal(when the boring git goes) but if they don't then this league will become as crap as the Spanish one or even worse the Scottish. Money has ruined our game, we all know it but you can't eat at the Ritz when you only have chip shop money. Shove up Vale here we come. We are not good enough to compete with the top 4 never mind Man city who have only conceded 20 goals all season, a goal difference of plus 65. Staying in the prem is our only ambition, unless we can get a open check book. The league has been ruined by money and it pissies me off

That game gave me more hope than any of the garbage Hughes produced in the last 18 months. Zero shots on target suggests otherwise. I agree with March, by the way we did have a shot on target, and had chances to score. We are looking much better under Lambert fact!

We’ve hammered everyone this year.I thought you stuck at it and showed fight. Still reckon WBA are gone and West Ham and Southampton will join them . Your season will not be defined in games like tonight but against the bottom half teams. Getting rid of Hughes will ultimately save you from the drop. It’s been a long journey since the 5-2 debacle of 1998
Good luck for the rest of the season, genuinely hope you stay up

These are the times when we need a supportive and vocal crowd. and what do you mean "finally turning against Lambert"???? after 7/8 games?....or should all managers be only given 5 games max now?

I think turning against lambert is harsh, but starting choupo & making him Undroppable, and keeping johnson, adam and fletcher all on the bench does lambert no favours.

I don't mind Losing to a team like Moneybags but there was no passion or fight. We just bent over and took all 9 inches didn't we really? No lube or nothing. Then we let them spunk all over our faces. That's not the Stoke City attitude at all.

Fuckoff we've just played the champions, shit bin. It doesn't matter if were playing 11 Supermen. You have to judge your team on THEIR OWN performance and ability. If your team: Cannot pass, Cannot formulate a game plan Cannot display an attitude that represents a team fighting for survival. Cannot motivate itself Cannot give their home fans ANYTHING to get exited about Then the opposition is irrelevant. So Shit bin yourself !

Once it becomes obvious we are going down the mood will completely change and both Lambert and the board will get both barrels, it's not going to be pleasant.

I don't believe anyone is bemoaning the result, it's what they are witnessing week in week out, a team ( not individuals) that is not match fit, a team devoid of general ball control, a team unable to pass, a team of training cones and most frustrating of all we still have NO Plan, poor structure and no idea how to stop the rot.
These players may have lost all this under Hughes but fuck me it should not take 8 to 10 weeks to get professional talented footballers back into shape and have a working plan to get back on track.
Lambert not at fault, my fucking arse

The difference in attitudes is what really sticks in my throat, right up until going onto 90 minutes, Man City players knocking it about like they've got all the time in the world, our players are literally stood still until the crowd dictate to wake the fuck up. Relegation writen all over us. We fucking stink of it. Ah thanks for clearing that up. The crowd are to blame because they didn't control the players better. What the hell? ? How on earth did you come to that conclusion from what I said? Some strange folk on here.

We could always change the manager. I know we just did it, and it's rather expensive move to make but very cheap compared to relegation. Sounds a bit daft but what else can we do to try and change things at this point? Lambert has not been so bad but we won't survive with only draws and losses.
