Bournemouth coming into the game after a 3-0 away win at Chelsea so I expect this one to be tough. A win would be a huge result.
I'd go for: Butland Bauer Shawcross Zouma Pieters Allen N'Diaye Choupo Shaqiri Jese Diouf

That should make us defensively solid.

Cameron, Allen and Badou Surely It obviously needs changing but we lack quality. Cameron will add something but it wont be quality. We're in a spot of bother I fear.

Has to be those 3 but I'm worried Lambert might be slightly biased to his Scottish brothers

Badou will transform us. He'll fucking have to. A returning Cameron and firing Badou should do the trick as long as Chupo, Bauer and Shaq get forward.

Oh aye, we have every chance of going down. But that midfield three gives us our best chance in my eyes, Fletcher and to a lesser point Adam should be quarantined.

Why can't those responsible see it, Momo? Other teams are making wholesale changes but we seem happy with a 37 year old striker and a has been in midfield. We needed 2 more quality signings.

The most important thing is to leave Fletcher out as he was really awful tonight! Zouma must also be better at his decision making with the ball at his feet!

If he is fit enough to be used as a sub, Ireland has the skill and nous to unlock a stubborn defence. He won't last a whole game though.

Zouma is perhaps the one player whose decision making with the ball at his feet is just as bad as fletcher's. Solid defender yes but he constantly puts his team mates in trouble with cross-field passes.

I thought Joe Allen was on sheep dog trials , ran round like a mad thing then lost the bloody ball. I'm sure he loses where he is on the pitch at times.
Fletcher ....no comment , just get Joe to show him to the knackers yard pen.
Allen Adam Badou to start pls. Geoff to replace the first one to tire.

I actually agree with the poster above. Ireland deserves a chance in the number 10 role. He showed a lot of promise against United. He has the skill to pick apart a defence which is something we desperately lacked today. Hopefully Paul won't be so stubborn and put the past behind him.

Today showed us what we are lacking. It's just a shame we couldn't have got another CM in and not just Badou. Our options aren't great but what is important is we play players who can get around the pitch so that rules out Adam and Fletcher who is a complete liability. He offers no defensive shield. I'd be tempted to go with
...............Butland................ Bauer......Zouma......Ryan........Eric ................Geoff................. ..........Allen.......Douma........... ...Shaq......................Choupa... .................Diouf................

The best time to play them, their heads will still be in the clouds at the weekend. Lambert needs to get this message into the players. We need to really not give them any slack, 100% at em, come on Stoke.

Hopefully Bournemouth do the right thing and sack Howe tonight. I can’t believe they didn’t roll over tonight and concentrate on the more winnable game on Saturday.....
