Is Cameron fit? He would play rather than fletcher then surely?

ALL I'LL SAY IS
the time for us being a 'soft touch' has to be over
we must win tomorrow
fair means or foul
(apart from Diving - I absolutely hate that)

I am very excited for tomorrow, hopefully the buzz around the ground will be the same which I'm sure it will. We need to go all out early doors, big challenges, pressing the opposition.

If we win 4-0 our goal difference goes better than theirs. That's funny mate.

Massive game. Those just above us all have much tougher games on paper, so winning this one could give us a big lift. Psychologically, a win would do us the world of good, too. I don't even wan't to contemplate losing it. Assuming Shawcross is still out and we don;t make any additions before the weekend, I would go with this. Butland Bauer Zouma Martins Indi Peiters Ireland Allen Adam Shaqiri Ramadan Diouf Bench: Grant Crouch Choupo-Moting Cameron if fit for me. Fletcher Wimmer Edwards Berahino Cameron Let's just grind out a win, relieve the stress a bit and then focus on doing what business we can to support the new gaffer. We clearly need to spend in several areas including left back, central midfield, striker, and IMO both wings need to be addressed. Shaq is a far better number 10 than he is right winger, and neither Choupo-Moting or Ramadan have done enough to make the left wing spot their own. IT's a lot to ask, and I doubt we'll address all of those areas in January, but let's hope we can at least bring in 2-3 quality additions. Bauer looks like he could be exactly what we need, so at least thats a start. No matter who we play, we have to play one of the two available defensive mid-field players or we’ll be overrun. That means either Cameron or Fletcher have to start.

Let's just hope Lambert gets off to a better start than Pulis did when he came to save us from relegation, appointed Nov 1st but didn't win until December 28th

Butland
Bauer Zouma BMI Erik
Cameron Allen Fletcher/Adam
Shaq
Diouf Choupo
Lets just go back to basics - look to win that midfield and Give Shaq a free role and free run at their Centre-Halves. Played Choupo alongside Diouf as Choupo is more Dynamic than Crouch. And please, let Erik be fit - the new boy isn't quite there apparently and I dread playing Wimmer or Tymon...

This has got an ominous feeling about it - the script says it’s a new start , everyone is bouncing and the opposition are no world beaters .......then you realise that SCFC are involved in proceedings. My main hope is that we can just tighten the defence (‘uddersfield looked quite slick at times at their place) so if we do happen to sneak a goal there is a chance that it could win the game. The fact that Choupo , Diouf and even Berahino are considered by many to be our best striking options is a bit depressing.

Butland Bauer Shawcross or Zuoma Indi Staf Allen Cameron Shaq Ireland Sobhi Choupo Struggling up front and don’t really know who is best there Ireland simply can’t do 90 mins yet, especially for this game where we need high temp and pressing from the players like their possessed! Probably worth the risk for 45-60 mins

Butland Bauer Zouma BMI Staf Cameron Ireland Afellay Shaq Diouf Choupo That’s a weak mid 3 energy wise, Cameron with recent injury’s along side long term injured two. Not for me.

This will go down like a lead balloon...
Butland Bauer Zouma Shawcross BMI Stafy Allen Fletcher Shaqiri Ramadan Choupo
Bauer and Stafy actually look like they might slot in as wingbacks, a back three provides more cover for a 2 man midfield and Choupo (although by no means ideal) provides the target man option of Crouch but with more pace and energy. Ramadan has started to look the part lately and is worth a starting place on merit.
I call it (Wing)Back to the Future....
