Glad to see him get his home debut.
He definitely needs to play more. A couple of hospital passes but in the main I thought he was good. His crossing is definitely his best asset and I think at times it showed.

I think he may be better used as a right winger if we get a decent right back in in january. This will also release shaq to play more centrally

Davejohnno1 hates this .... Why would i hate it? He was much better because he actually got close to his man. He was, however, most definitely not the MOM.

West Brom spent so much time trying to target Edwards that they didn’t realise we had a camel playing at left back.
He stood up to everything admirably and showed more composure on the ball than pretty much everyone else bar Choupo.

Choupo was clear MOM but really glad Edwards was awarded it.

Thought he played too far in advance of the back four in the first half but he definitely grew into the game and got better as it went on. Very promising

He was excellent especially the 2nd half, composed, agile and forward thinking with a decent cross. Well done lad. A small mention for Wimmer as well, didn't do to badly in an unfamiliar role and passed the ball out well at times. It's all about opinions, but I thought Wimmer was bloody awful. The sooner Martins Indi is fit the better, so this footballing fraud can be consigned to the bench.

Great game. Hopefully now the club may just get a photo of him to put up on the screen when the teams are read out.

Today was a starting point for him. Going over the top about the quality of his display won’t do him any favours. He was ok and didn’t look out of place in a PL game. That in itself should give him something to build on. His ability to cross (on the run) puts him ahead of others in contention for our right back spot so let’s seehim take that forward and develop into something special.

Did very well considering he was hung out to dry by Hughes in his first 2 games for the club.

He was good and well done on giving him the MOTM (we all know he wasn't), that should do him the world of good after two appearances that have seen us get battered.

Did very well considering he was hung out to dry by Hughes in his first 2 games for the club. How was he hung out to dry exactly? Hes either good enough to play or he isn't? Maybe is was brilliant management. Let him play and learn in games we would have lost anyway so that in a game like today he can come in with fewer nerves and do well.

He played well today and hopefully will do the same against ‘uddersfield and then it’s Chelsea away so he’s got to learn......

Positioning looked inexperienced (not surprisingly) on occasions, though his pace allowed him to recover. Essentially, he looked like a proper full back.

If we were going to get hammered he'd get plenty of practice wouldn't he? If hes good enough to play hes good enough to play regardless of the opposition.

Hughes has admitted in several interviews he was thrown in at the deep end and he was torn a new one at Wembley against Tottenham.Imo to throw a lad in at his age against Man City and Tottenham away is wank management but I’m sure you’ll disagree as per

He was thrown in for 2 of the hardest away games of the season and not picked for any other games before today, it was not good management.

They won 2-0 and he was MOTM. I have no issue with it to be fair, if nowt else it’s character building........

You still aren't answering the question. Is edwards good enough to play or not? The fact hes played two games already and didn't come in to todays huge game making his debut is pretty astute if you believe it was deliberate. I dont know whether it was or not but those games clearly put him in good stead for today. He got closer to his man, he tried to stop crosses and he grew into the game. He also sermed determined not to let oppositionplayers run in off the back of him so hes clearly learned a lot in those two games
