thought he played great today and kept McClean very quiet and attacking he looked assured on the ball and put some decent crosses in.

a breath of fresh air to me. at one point ryan was pointing for him to pass back to butland.
He pivoted around and played the ball forwards, i like that, as a lad come out of the youth team you would think he would listen to the senior players but he did his own thing and it paid off. i like to see players that can think for them self and crack on with it. Also he is already 50x better at whipping a ball in than pieters on the opposite wing does.
I can see him been another crowd favorite and a stokie through and through like Wilko.

He was excellent especially the 2nd half, composed, agile and forward thinking with a decent cross. Well done lad. A small mention for Wimmer as well, didn't do to badly in an unfamiliar role and passed the ball out well at times.

Very impressed today. Thought he looked very decent should be first choice. The more games he gets the more he'll improve too.

Looked much better.
His main strength is delivery into the box. He needs to get more of them in

Needs a run of games now, and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t get them.
Goarn Tom.

Tons of potential there. Good stuff from him. Keep him in the side and let him grow i say.

Hope that's not the last time we see him, it shouldn't be! He played very well, the crosses were decent too. Can only improve with experience.

Good crosser. Hopefully confidence will grow and we could have a good 'un.

He had to face up to 2 or 3 different opponents today and saw them all off.
Great showing.

It’s a great beacon of positivity in these troubling times to have a young, local player come through the youth team. I see he’s from Stafford, does anyone know if he’s a lifelong stokie? Not that it matters but it would be a big fat cherry on top.

I fucking loved watching him today. Amazing to see one of our own breakthrough.
Felt much more confident when West Brazil were stacking our right instead of Wimmer

The shirt is now his to lose. Hopefully he maintains this standard of performance and we won't have to see Diouf/Zouma/Johnson there again.
The same goes for Sobhi - the right wing spot should be his now, and a spell in the reserves should do Shaqiri some good.

He was better on the ball today than most if not all of the rest of the team today. He should with a good wind be our right back for the next 10 years. He needs more games.

Comfortable on the ball and confident enough to tell Shaq where he should be etc.
Added bonus is his crossing, major step up on every other full back at the club. Good to see that his roastings against Man City or Spurs haven’t affected his confidence.

Great performance from the lad in a crucial game. I didn’t think he was man of the match however I won’t begrudge the lad of that and it will do his confidence wonders.
