We're looking to run something for the West Brom issue of the fanzine next Saturday, regarding the future of Mark Hughes. We're looking for an idea of where the land lies on this one, so if you want to make a comment as well please feel free to do so.

Enough is Enough. Wasted millions of money, poor signings, selling better players and keeping awful ones. Playing a system for 2 years thats never worked. Relying on a 36 year old striker for goals.
I literally could fill a whole 10 sheets of a4 paper.

Feel strongly there should be another choice........replace him IF we have a quality candidate?

How about "give him until the end of 2017"? There's a big difference between that and the other options.

To be fair, we have no control over that issue and can only make our feelings known regarding the current manager. The board don't share their thoughts with us about potential replacements and so we don't know if 'quality candidates' are available.

The team needs at least three or four new players, but nobody in their right mind would trust Hughes to spend the money wisely considering he's already wasted so much money. A new manager needs time to assess the squad and work out where those improvements are needed, which he's not going to have if we limp on with Mark Hughes for too long. The owners have to be bold and get rid of him now before it's too late.

Yes I know that but to choose a position blindly surely would be reckless given our form in the past...Kamara et al? So if the choice was replace with a recognised manager we feel could unite the support and keep us up we would I’m sure see a 99% vote? Just can’t see how you can make that choice unless you know what we could attract? Still time for a calm head? Just my opinion. I can’t beat the thought of losing our premiership status after 30 did years of hurt but this is a massive call? I would have changed last summer but we are where we are?

Should go immediately, should have gone at the end of last season... He really has been the master of his own downfall. Only incompetence from the club's hierarchy is keeping him in a job!

If you'd done this yesterday I would've voted get rid straight away. Now it's apparent he's staying, for West Brom, I find it difficult to say get rid as it feels as though its counterproductive.
However, for me, Burnley was a must not lose game, we lost. Yesterday became a must win, we were abject in our attempts to score and failed miserably.
We look clueless at times, both offensively and defensively. We have no real pace in the team and there are a few players who go hiding at times. I don't doubt most of the players are trying, but it still isn't good enough. We desperately need a clean sheet and we need to start shooting at the goal if we want to score. Hughes has now got this week and surely he must focus on doing the dry basics. Defenders practice defending, midfielders practice passing, forwards practice shooting.
Let's do the simple things on Saturday, no more individual errors in our own box - if it comes to you boot it out an let the midfield work to win it back. If it drops near you in or around the box have a whack at it.
For this reason I've gone with he's got until West Brom. He must win.

Did really well with the team he inherited, but when it came to building his own team he’s failed miserably. Thanks for the memories but its time to leave now Mark before it gets even more toxic

Well as with most things like this, there is never a box that I can tick.
My opinion is that he needs to go, but not until another manager has been selected. Sacking if we lose the next match isn't an option - unless we have someone ready to step in and take charge.

We are clearly in a run of bad form. Hughes has been unlucky for sure. He's a good manager, but circumstances create situations in which change is needed. Right now we have some talent, but we need a shake up mentally. Until we get that we'll dwindle around the relegation line. Thanks for all the great things you've done here for us Mark, but it's time to go.

I wanted a new Manager in the summer because the writing was on the wall over the previous 18 months.
The worry for me is whoever we bring in has to work with Scholes and Cartwright to be self sufficient/balance the books. This in itself is a wonderful objective (utopia) but in reality will not work in the greed league. The quality of player we can afford/attract has changed and we are making a pigs ear out of it.
We reap what we sow as a club from top to bottom. Hughes may go but the next guy will have the same restrictions

He has to go - its as simple as that. It seems that he is hiding behind excuses week after week after week when clearly we are making the same basic errors (eg. neglecting the far post and the late runner from crosses and being caught too high up from set pieces leading to us being picked off on the counter) and being found out far too easily. We are toothless going forward, overrun through the middle (due to Sparky and the backroom staff not looking to bring in competent cover and then persisting with just 2 in midfield) and horribly disorganised at the back. We have dropped FAR too many points in games against the teams in and around us, and he looks clueless how to stop the rot.
