Not sure what is more embarrassing, the post itself or the likes it has got. The only was Hughes could have taken anything from Ramadan's game is that the way he has been used and then dropped may have affected his confidence but the way he goes past players with ease (usually way too many times), suggests he isn't lacking confidence. What he does need is help learning how to actually do something with the ball once he gets into a dangerous attacking position which he often does. Every single time he gets the ball he completely wastes possession by simply refusing to actually play some form of final ball. It doesn't have to be a goal or an assist every time but as long as he finds another player then he has done his job and will get credit for it. At the moment unless he shows some sort of proof that he has the vision and conviction to complete the final ball then he shouldn't be in the team. He should have been replaced instead of Shaqiri on Monday night as he had an ineffective night and Shaq, while still poor second half, can still pick out a killer pass out of nowhere (one of the many reasons he frustrates me so much, with how poorly he can play for 89 minutes but still pick out a worldie). Hughes Out Embarrassing? The question or the likes, the reason people have liked it is that they seem to see it the way I do, by that I mean he doesn't seem to be the player that first arrived and his game has altered since and in my opinion that's the manager. No one expects him to be A world beater, score all the time or set goals up all the time it just seems he's changed the way he plays in a negative way, my opinion and by the way that's all it is an opinion. He had no end product when he arrived, he never gets his head up to pick a player out, he simply beats his man 5 or 6 times until he eventually loses the ball. Seems pretty much the same as when he got here I'd say, the fact that he hasn't improved can definitely be blamed on the Manager because Ramadan's application looks second to none, but to say he's gone backward is a bit far. There's enough reasons you can justifiably use to criticise Hughes without coming up with imaginary ones. Also I am fully aware that it's your opinion mate, this is a forum, every post is someone's opinion, it doesn't need to be pointed out by people when a debate breaks out.

Ramadan, like Berahino, needs a confidence boost. He played ok the other night and did a reasonable job. If he got a goal we would perhaps see a 10% boost in performance. I think he needs to stay involved to really progress as a player - best way to develop for a lad of his age is to play games against the best. We have 10 games in just over a month coming up and I'd want him involved in 6-7 at least. I just hope Geoff gets better soon as we will need his versatility and athleticism over that period too. Even Bera might get enough minutes to score!

I posted above that Sobhi is still only 20 and learning his trade, give the guy some time.
To put this in context he has played 25 Prem games, 19 internationals and is younger than Denis Smith played his first game for Stoke first XI.

The new whipping boy, I presume. The opposite, it's to have a dig at Hughes, by the regular rabble.Like a fkn gramaphone record.

He should have really pushed on this season especially with Arnie gone. I know he's not exactly been a first choice regular but the opportunities he's had have not been taken with both hands.

Maybe he'll end up as a wing back in Hughes system.

I really think Hughes has taken elements out of Sobis game and made him worse for it. Not sure what is more embarrassing, the post itself or the likes it has got. Hughes Out He wasn't replaced instead of Shaq Monday night because he's in the team to defend and Shaq isn't. And for that reason, Hughes out!

There is a potentially good player in there but he seems to constantly make the wrong decision with his final ball. He must confuse himself because I'm not sure he knows what he is going to do. Needs some coaching. He needs a coaching exercise where he has to release the ball one touch before he tells himself to. He always leaves it one touch or a fraction of a second too late.

Further arguments and polar opposites on his performance today. Personally I thought he did well, he seems to be growing in confidence more now and his one touch pass and move play helps us flow forwards.
I guess it's because he's not crossing much that is leading to the grief?

He’s the future of our club, I’m happy for him to be given a run of games, arguably wide left in a 4-2-3-1.......

He gives the ball away doesn't look up won't shoot and can't cross . He works , is strong but what's the point of having him in the team given his weaknesses other than to help Pieters?

I thought he did well. Needs to be more decisive in possession but he went by them with ease and forced the issue, it is what I like the most about him he's not afraid to go at them.

Agree. A couple body of swerves today created loads of space and left six Swansea players chasing shadows.

Played well, better than Chopper. Just needs to release the ball earlier and play the simplest pass until such time he gains confidence and experience.

His play on the left made us more solid there. Erik was at risk but Ramadan was a huge help!

Does much more hard defensive work than Moting and Shaqiri put together, and created our only decent chance of the second half. Very good cameo.

I agree with this when he comes on as sub, but I thought last couple of starts he looked like he wasn't sure what to do. Just my opinion...

He needs coaching, much like Imbula did. He reminds me of when you saw sterling for the first time. An out and out dribbler

He was always a very confident player except this season, today Hughes was shouting at him cause he is attacking, Hughes wants from Ramadan to stay near Pieters to prevent the usual catastrophe before it happens.
