Man of the match by a country mile Followed by choupo and shaq. Zouma was immense today - did you forget him? I did. But you are correct.

Plays like a captain and if he's worn the red and white stripes for years. Great signing. Iv'e gone from holly shit we are doomed this year to thinking we can at least do another 9th place finish season.

Its easy to see the improvement from last season already. The spine of the team is bearing fruit. Butland back in goal, Zouma at the back, Fletcher running the show (and directing) and Shaq finally looking settled buzzing all along the front line and looking like he wants the ball all the time. Augers well.

Not only did he put in a awesome display, I also loved his attitude, even though he played the majority of his carear at United, he was pissed off with the ref when decisions went against us, and he joined in the goal celebrations, it was just good to see!!!

Miles better player than what some teams are paying ridiculous money for, have to say, if he continues with this form, hes going to be our best signing and player of the season.

Absolutely superb today. With Man Utd from 11 years old and 78 caps for Scotland - and it shows. Fergie relied on Fletch (and Park) for many years in teams of super stars and he was an unsung hero for Utd.His influence in the dressing room and training is also important and he was constantly at Swarbrick throughout the game just like Terry Keane and Maldini. We're very lucky to have him - how on earth did Pulis get him to play for WBA before us when Sparky has such good connections. Happy Days

Shows how poor Whelan was really. Fletcher is a really talented footballer. No it doesn't. Fletcher is a significant upgrade on Glen. Who was an average footballer who made the most of his limited ability with heart, dedication and focus. You don't need to slag a Stoke legend to recognise the quality of Fletcher. Unless you're a bit of an arse. So, carry on.

Watching Fletcher in the middle makes you wonder how we ever really functioned without him. He gets a tune out of the team around him like the conductor of an orchestra. Hope we can find a young like-for-like replacement!

Great player my Man U mate said he had him second on the team sheet when he was at Man U. I like Allen but I'd love to see Affelay next to him really think that would work.

Fletcher was fantastic. Always in the right place and Zouma and Chopa bring real drive to the team. Thought Shaq was superb too. If only we'd have won 2-1 and Hughesy had decked that odious charmless unsporting prick Mourinho it would have been a classic day

You have to wonder what the fuck our recruitment team were doing when he was available. We have needed a bit of class in midfield for a few season's and clearly would have been perfect. Still he is here now and what a cultured footballer he is.

I think the summers signings have all been great so far. but for me this was the most important, seems to be able to run the show from midfield, superb pass for 1st goal
Also I would imagine, great to have in the dressing room

Thought he was a bit iffy until that pearler of a pass to Diouf for the first goal, after that he was imperious, he didn't look £90 million less of a player than Pogba to me.
