I don't think most do tbh. I've been surprised at how many would sell him. It's been very pleasing to see in fact! He didn't give 100% when Rooney ran past him on Saturday. He deserves nothing. In one failed swoop his signing fucked the balance of the side up. Not his fault admittedly but that doesn't stop him from being a shit footballer, which he is. Joe Allen, a shit footballer, Jesus Bayern you really need to get out into the fresh air. Swansea, Liverpool, Wales, Euro team of the tournament but he's SHIT footballer!!! He has his faults but get a grip and a sense of perspective and if you can't get outside today maybe open a window for a bit! He won't let things like that cloud his judgment on a player who's clearly thick and shit 🙄

Why is this being discussed. The club have already made a statement.............Allen is not for sale. Which I think means he isn't for sale Every player is always for sale if the price is right. So Butland and Ryan r going too

a bit like when you see all the BMW's and Audis parked at lidl, why waste money at the healthy fresh farm stores when you can buy cheap sugar loaded stuff elsewhere ? Yeah because Lidl's vegetables etc are far less healthy than those from the "healthy farm shop". Good point. It doesn't matter where you buy the good stuff from just as long as you get it. If you can pay less for it happy days.

Not massively in favour of letting Joe Allen go, but if Swansea are interested then holding out for a fee in the 30-35m range makes sense to me. It still leaves them with enough extra to on paper pay any sign on fees and go towards wages, and we'd be free to decide whether to persist with Bojan in the middle, or perhaps try Sobhi in the role and our fans could get back to feverish foaming at the mouth that we haven't just spent a massive amount of money on someone.

Every player is always for sale if the price is right. So Butland and Ryan r going too If the price was right yes. Every player at every club. If someone offered £750m for Messi he would be sold. That doesn't mean you take every decent bid for any player. In Allen's case if Hughes wants to keep him,if the player isn't kicking up a huge stink and the club are backing the manager then we won't sell him even for £20m However if Swansea go super crazy and offer £30m we would. Or whatever the sums are.

If Swansea were to offer silly money (£30m) then I suppose the club would have to look at it, but with two weeks left in the window I think that's why Stoke have said he won't be sold in this window. Possibly hinting at January when we have more time to scout a potential replacement would make more sense. I know others have different views but he's a good hard working player that'll be missed too much if not replaced straight away in my opinion.

I note the point about this window but I see evry possibility of come January and Swansea will be up s!!! creek without a paddle and while they may have a shed load of money would Allen really want to go?

joe is happy at stoke and we don't want to sell so for me its the end of the story.why not just close this thread down We don't really know if he is happy though do we? He may want a move to South Wales. But he is probably too much of a nice guy to rock the boat. If Swansea offered 25 million and the club asked him if he wanted to go then I suspect he would say yes. Step forward Geoff Cameron.

I think Swansea will come back with an offer we cannot refuse and then it's up to Allen

Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko 2m Swansea willing to pay 15m for Clucas. Guaranteed. That will test Hull. And probably see off Burnley.

£15 million for Sam Clucas? In today's market I must be worth a few hundred grand.

Darren Fletcher making very positive comments about how well he is forming a partnership with Allen and see this as part of the way Stoke can work towards getting to "the next level"
Let's hope Joe is happy here and is keen to work alongside our new signings

Fletcher and Allen do look a good partnership from what Ive seen so far.
High work-rates and the ability to play a decent pass.
I do think one of them occassionally needs to bomb forwards to be the extra attacking player arriving late in the box.

Why is this thread still going when its obvious he's staying? That's one of life's big questions that I'm struggling with, a bit like the meaning of life and what has net spend got to do with signing good players
