Would anybody be that upset if we made a bit of a profit and brought in, say, Delph?

Well if they sell Sigurdsson for 50 mil then I think 20 is at least appropriate for Allen.

He's a better player than delph
Joe Allen makes sense for any team where Everybody presses the ball and as soon as you go to press the ball your team mates back you up... A team like Liverpool or spurs.
Maybe sparky doesn't want to play that way? In which case what a shame for stoke fans, as I enjoy to see the game played that way

If he is leaving we HAVE to play the game they have with Everton. We know they've got cash so they can cough up double what we paid atleast.

Joe Allen is a good player he was just messed about by Hughes after a long summer last season expect him to do well if he plays with Fletcher regularly , much better option than Delph who has done fuck all for two years and a lot of players are ruined by a move to Citeh if they are stuck on the sidelines

There's no need to sell him so unless a stupid offer of £20m+ comes in I don't even think we'd consider it.

Would anybody be that upset if we made a bit of a profit and brought in, say, Delph? I would. I'd also say it would be disastrous for Hughes. I mean, how many signings is he allowed to change his mind on?

I cant see him leaving Hughes does seem to have one for him.
However if you signed somebody like Delph would we need Allen. Aren't they the same type of player? My only concern with Delph is that he's made from Weetabix whereas Allen seems to be made of sterner stuff so you will at least get the games out of him.

I think the lad gets a lot of unnecessary criticism on here. He has to play to the best of his ability in whatever position he is asked to and he would probably admit himself to not being a natural number 10. I thought he was our best player by a mile in the first half of last season, but obviously faded second half. His energy up and down the pitch would be sorely missed in my opinion!

Goodbye. Thank for your efforts.
Makes the decision to discard the infinitely superior Whelan even more idiotic.

Very similar to Delph but has the edge on fitness. Neither are players to get excited about imo.

IF TRUE....4 years left on his contract after we payed £13m last season £25-30m Yeh. Right If they get £40+ for Siggy? I would say Wezza isn't too far off. A returning fans favourite, that enables their Board to save some face in losing their star turn!? £20m to £25m including add ons isn't too far fetched!

Makes me laugh on here sometimes
I am quite sure half on here would sell the entire squad and bring in another entire squad upsetting the applecart in the process
Allen is a good player, not brilliant but good and well worth his place in the side, up to Xmas he was probably player of the year and they wont rid
Reap what you sow
