Why is this being discussed. The club have already made a statement.............Allen is not for sale. Which I think means he isn't for sale Every player is always for sale if the price is right.

Mmm dunna remember Dean scoring many but hey he could run. I really think you are doing a disservice to Allen he's not shit. He really is. He's surprised with how bad he actually is tbh. I thought he was quite an intelligent footballer but he just isn't. 25m+ is robbery. Hey Bayern, have you started to post in the third person?

I think Allen is on his way - to be followed as the new Swansea manager at some point this season. . . a certain Mr. Hughes.

Because it's bash the club time again with some saying they're stupid to turn down £25m for Allen who is a headless chicken and thick to boot 😉 I think we'll sell him. Hughes loves him. If he goes Hughes will go.

Prefer Glenn ? Or some other strong plodder. I wanted all of our central midfielders sold. Allen is a headless chicken, a Dean Whitehead who can pass but only sideways. Do you ever wonder, bayern, what you could have achieved with your life using the time it's taken to write your 90,000 posts on here- most of which say the same thing over and over again? Think of the amazing things you could have done: travelled the world, found a cure for cancer, lost your virginity...the list is endless. But instead you spend your entire life on this message board, dribbling a constant stream of negative piss onto every single thread, most of it slagging off the same players over and over and over again. It's like you're on a one man crusade to try and turn the entire board against certain members of our own team, endlessly chipping away at it, droning on and on, day in day out, never resting until you've got 5,000 members of this forum ready to descend on the bet365 with pitchforks and demand that Joe Allen is burnt at the stake. WE FUCKING GET IT...you don't like Joe Allen. Well, here's the thing...most of us DO like him. We know he's not a world beater and he's got his faults, but he always gives 100% for OUR team and deserves better than to be called things like "a git" or "shit" by someone who spends all day, every day hiding behind his keyboard.

The teams around us have done nothing of note from what I can see and I don't think you can put teams like Everton in the same bracket us us. If you have aspirations of pushing on you need to sign a different level of player and that is never going to be easy.

He had a good game on the whole on saturday. 'Your number 4 is the standout', said me Everton mate. New season, maybe better disciplined with less need for him to be a '10'. Their goal being more about the left of our defence being vacated than joey. He's not shit. Think him and Fletch were good and it's a fresh 'partnership'. For stupid money I'd sell and go again though. I thought he played really well, but there's not getting away from the fact that he fell asleep and didn't track Rooney's run for their goal...... If he hardly made an error he wouldn't be at Stoke. And Rooney created and scored a very good goal. He needs to be part of a strong and disciplined midfield then he won't need to be chasing everything. Fletcher is a good partner for him imo

The wealth of our owner has nothing to do with it, it is the way we choose to run the club. Everton are a far larger team with far larger global foot print and to that's comparing apples and oranges. Everton have only recently started to spend and time will tell if it pays off. Of course I would like to see us spend some more but can anyone really argue with what we are doing. As you said it this is the 10th season so compared to a lot we are doing alright.

I was quite encouraged by the Allen-Fletcher partnership, a specialist left wing back in that team would have transformed us. We're missing a couple of key ingredients but I don't think we're a million miles away......

In keeping with our current transfer strategy, it wouldn't be fanciful to see Allen sold for 20m+ and Delph in on a season loan....Cash Back!. Can we still have another season loan? I have no idea what the rules are.
