As far as next level signings go, if we are being used by agents to get other clubs to move then we should set a date to complete,if the date passes then move on. Them goons who run the recruitment team must know if they are been fucked about or do they ????

For over 2 season now posters keep on stating the 'next level' when the next level is very different in a lot of posters thoughts, so it would help if they told us what their next level is. Also the Chief Executive as stated 3 signings will be in place before the Everton game so I cannot understand all the knicker wetting we are club whose finances are similar to the majority of prem clubs so we are in criteria where our offers for players are very much on par with the vast majority so we have to stay patient and hope we have done our homework and come out with the best offer.

It seems to me as the days drift by that the club has adopted a more cautious approach to buying.
They have burnt their fingers with recent signings, where they have paid the asking price and it hasn't paid off (yet). Prices have moved on a huge amount again this summer and IMO the club are not going to go chasing after them. I suspect Porto have broken their word on Indi and with other potential deals, agents are asking for silly money for themselves as well as their clients and the club has put it's foot down and said we are not having any of that.
I'm confident they have deals "in place" but are waiting for the selling clubs to cool their demands as the season approaches and be prepared sell to balance their cash flow, get numbers off the headcount, settle their squads on who's and who's out, etc. I think Spurs are taking a similar approach.
