Walter's posts will last as long as Pulis! I doubt that. Walters wasn't a cunt. Who is Walter?

I was his biggest critic over the years and have slated him on here consistently. However, I found myself warming to him. I got tired of him proving me wrong and while clearly lacking in technical ability, he was the epitome of drive, ambition and hard work. Genuinely wish him the best and all in all a more than useful servant to the club.

Just like Brian Kilcline.

Just like most Stoke fans don't see Jon Walters as an average journeyman. That is, most sane Stoke fans without chips on shoulders, axes to grind and agendas to pursue.

Because he has been an important part of the recent history of our club, and it's not surprising that some fans want to discuss that and the reasons for his departure. It seems more than a little bizarre to complain that it's at the top of the Board when you yourself put it back there by making that post ? If you are not interested in talking about Jon Walters, that's fine, but in that case surely the logical thing is simply not to open and contribute to a thread which is about him ?

Fancy having him back for £9 million plus Imbula?

What clown he is, having digs at former team mates isn't exactly the best way to leave a club.

What clown he is, having digs at former team mates isn't exactly the best way to leave a club. I think it's an honest interview. Nowhere does he have digs at other players nor does he say his face didn't fit imo. He's telling how it was and why he chose to leave. For me he left with his head held high knowing that he contributed to our success at staying comfortably in the PL. I will remember him mostly for the FA cup semi final and in contrast his goals for Chelsea and penalty miss. Great servant and nice bloke.

What clown he is, having digs at former team mates isn't exactly the best way to leave a club. He didn't have a dig at ANY of the players, just being realistic about a starting place especially after we signed Saido. He fathomed his days were numbered!

Walters as our most influential player was allowed to leave the club for an utter pittance and join a rival. This is the deal folk should be up in arms about - more so than the Bruno debacle. How can you type that with a straight face? Is there a small part of you which wants to say anything with any common sense whatsoever?

2 points regarding Jon Walters.
Firstly it amazes me that a player who cost us so little, who epitomised us as a team of grafters and who gave an awful lot in a Stoke shirt is getting any criticism at all. He's gone, so why are people still obsessed with having a snide pop at him?
Secondly I wonder how many brave people on here would tell him to his face that he is greedy, less than average blah, blah, blah. If they were brave enough, how many seconds would it be before they hit the floor!

If I've done this correctly (and there's every chance I haven't because it's maths). Walters for more minutes per appearance than Berahino. Berahino played 13 times for 722 minutes so 48 minutes per appearance. Walters 23 times for 1296 minutes so that's 56 minutes per appearance. So if I've done that right, he's talking utter horseshit. My maths is even worse than yours but I tried another calculation. Dedication + determination + self belief ÷ resilience × (professionalism + focus) = one of the main reasons we became a stable and established Premier League club against virtually all predictions By the look of Berahino and his improved physical condition, a little bit of SJW has rubbed off on him. Combined with Bera's obvious talent and pace, he may go on to fill a pretty big Jon Walters shaped hole in our squad. Here's hoping. Yes, obviously it's down to Walters, he can no doubt claim a part of every goal Berahino scores this season, he's doubtless passed on his wisdom as well as his work ethic
